  • Nutrients in treat form are great!

    By on

My cat needs to get additional nutrients to build his immune system. He always puts up a big fight with whoever is holding him getting the worst end of the deal (usually my husband). We found these treats on Chewy.com that were the same nutrient we had been given by the vet in liquid form. My cat loves them and it has been such a relief knowing he is getting what he needs without putting additional stress on him. Now.....can we somehow figure out how to make anxiety/nausea meds in treat form? This would be so helpful since we just bought a motorhome and are planning on taking our fur baby with us everywhere.

  • Vet recommended a good Lysine supplement.

    By on

After my precious cat Licorice became sick, my veterinarian recommended Lysine as a supplement because apparently cats are carriers of feline herpes. My indoor cats love this product. My outside cats like it, but some are still on the fence about it. I think the outside kitties will get used to it. I also purchased the Lysine powder to mix in their food.

  • Lysine bites for cat with Herpes

    By on

We have a 12 yr. old cat with Herpes. Her sneezing and respiratory infections have gotten progressively worse over the years even though we give her lysine daily. She has progressed from 250 ml/day to 500 which shows that cats do develop a tolerance for Lysine over time and the dosage must keep being steadily increased. We thought the Vetoquinol Enisyl-F Lysine bites might be the added boost she needs. Well, little miss picky (actually Lucky Girl) decided I was trying to trick her and ate a few before she just refused any more. Luckily, we have a couple more young cats who actually like the bites and so they will not go to waste. I'm sorry these did not work out for our old girl. It is We have a 12 yr. old cat with Herpes. It is not that the bites were not good, it was the "attitude" of my little princess. One of the young cats has a weepy eye now and again which I am sure is due to allergies. After I gave her a few of the bites her eye cleared and has not returned. This is encouraging. I will keep them on hand. … more

  • Formula changed. Yuck.

    By on

Didn't realize the treat had been changed to Bites. This new formula is mostly chicken fat. And suggested serving size is 24 per day. No way I'm giving this to my cat. When I got it, I noticed that the inside of bag looked greasy. That's when I noticed the changed formula. This is first purchase from Chewy. Not sure if I can return.

  • When they changed from Treats to Bites, Sparky HatedIT

    By on

When the manufacturer of this product switched it from the soft chew Treats, which Sparky munched up voraciously, to the hard chew Bites Sparky wouldn't touch them. His teeth are good and he eats dry food, so it was a matter of texture and taste. It was too much work to eat the Bites. Go back to the original which worked!!!!!

  • Expensive and Didn't See a Change

    By on Top 25 Contributor

These treats are pretty expensive when you're supposed to feed so many a day. I didn't notice too much of a difference to spend $40 for a couple of bags of these treats a month. Also, vets office was pushing these for almost twice the price. :/

  • Too hard they can't chew it

    By on

The pieces have a wet coating on the outside but the pieces are so hard, that none of my cats can actually chew it/crunch it, etc. They have to swallow it whole. No thanks!

My kitten was rescued from a hoarding situation and ended up at a veterinarian hospital to rescue, when I adopted her she had bad upper resp. Issues, my vet suggested these and they work great, she loves these treats and haven't had a flare up in so long, no watery tears, no trouble breathing and no watery eyes. She's energetic and is a normal happy kitten <3
