Questions & Answers

13 Customer Questions

what is the difference between enisyl-f and viralys

Answer by ChewyJul 30, 2021
Both Virayls and Enisyl-F are L-lysine product specifically designed for cats and kittens to support a healthy immune system. They come in different forms. Enisyl-F come in bites and oral paste. Viralys come in powder and oral gel. Since cats can be particular about what they ingest, Vetoquinol wants to give owners options.

Can this be given to a 3 month old kitten?

Answer by ChewyJun 08, 2021
Vetoquinol Enisyl-F Oral Paste is suitable for kittens. Give kittens 6 months of age and under one pump (1mL) twice daily. Give cats 6 months of age and older two pumps (2mL) twice daily. Administration may be adjusted as recommend by your veterinarian,

My kitty is on a novel protein diet because of allergies. I noticed one of the ingredients is tuna flavor. Is there actual tuna or tuna oil in it?

Answer by ChewyMar 16, 2021
There is fish oil in the paste but the tuna flavoring is just a flavoring with no protein. Due to your pets specific health concern, we recommend consulting your Veterinarian to see what would be the safest for your pets current treatment plan.

does the paste come with syringe to administer it into cat's mouth?

Answer by ChewyJan 03, 2019
This paste does not have a syringe. Each press of the pump delivers 1ml (1 g) of paste. It can be applied directly in the mouth, on the nose or on the paws where it can be licked off. Alternatively, you may mix and offer at meal time.

Not Suitable Taste

My cat HATED the smell and taste of this stuff. I had to mix it up secretly for her to consider it. Might work for some but mine wanted nothing to do with it.

Easy for me, kitties aren't big fans

Two of my 4 kitties need lysine daily. I've been putting powder in canned food for them for years, and of course if 2 cats get canned food the other 2 have to get it too. So it takes a little time to prepare and clean up. Decided to try this oral paste, thought they might like it since they like the tuna flavored laxatone oral gel. But no, I have to open their mouths and wipe it on their tongues. And it takes 4 pumps to give them the daily dose. Also it's a bit pricey. But they don't hate it - they don't run and hide when I get it out, and it's quicker for those occasions when I don't have a lot of time.

Works for the immune system

My cat has had a weepy eye that sometimes leads to an eye infection since she was born. If I give her this daily, it drastically improves the condition.

Easy to use.

My cat has herpes complex in his eyes and takes lysine to help. This product is easy to use, and I stirred it into the squeezable cat treats and he eats it right
