Make litter box duty a breeze with the pet-preferred Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter. The formula is made with small, silica gel granules that absorb liquids on contact and help dry solid waste fast, resulting in fantastic odor control. For cats who prefer to potty on the side of the litter pans, the sand-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom. Daily maintenance is easy, simply remove the solid waste and stir the litter to help the absorbed liquid evaporate. The crystals will continue to absorb for a full month. Plus, this formula features no added fragrance making it ideal for sensitive households.

Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Add approximately 4 inches of Frisco cat litter to a clean, dry litter box (this allows your cats to dig and cover their waste naturally). Scoop out waste daily, using a curved, slotted litter scoop. Throw away waste. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 4 inches. Additional Instructions
Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination. Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid. Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.
For first time users, we recommend a gradual switch to our product. Start with 2/3 of your old cat litter and 1/3 of your new Frisco Litter. Over time, continue to add more of the Frisco Brand until your cat box has fully transitioned to this product.
This litter is made in China and designed and tested to meet our high-quality standards.
Why did I receive a different product than what I saw on site and purchased?
It is the same product you purchased but we are undergoing a re-brand and are in the process of updating all the packaging. The old design is what you may have received but the new design is what you see on site.
Has the litter changed in any way?
No, it is the same great Frisco litter you expect. There have been no changes to the product ONLY the packaging design.
Most cats will have little to any resistance to transitioning to Frisco Crystals Cat Litter. If your cat does not use the new litter quickly and is reluctant to enter the litter box then try the following:
Start with filling the bottom of the litter pan with the bag of Frisco Crystal litter then pour a thin layer of your cats previous cat litter on top. Your cat will naturally mix the litter over time and become acclimated to the new texture.
Note: Frisco Crystals are non-clumping we recommend not topping with a clumping litter unless your cat is extremely skittish about using the new litter. Then use the thin layer poured on top to allow for the transition.
For best results, do not mix with other cat clay litters or additives. Just pour a thin layer of the previous litter on top so your cat will enter and use the litter box. Your cat will begin mixing the litters with its paws and after several days you will not need to do anything besides scoop the solid waste and stir the litter.
Fill clean litter box with 2 inches of Frisco Micro Crystal Cat Litter.
This litter can be used in any automatic litter box that supports the use of crystal litter.
Always use a litter mat with your crystal litter. Crystal litter is light weight and dry so it can have a cling effect to your cats paws and a mat will help collect crystals to avoid tracking. Cats may like the sand texture so much that they may get over zealous in covering so always use a litter mat outside the box to collect any flying crystals.
Remove solid waste daily and dispose of in trash. Do not flush. Thoroughly stir/mix the litter to keep crystals fresh.
This is litter is not biodegradable and should be disposed in the garbage only.
Dispose of used litter in trash. Do not flush.
It is fine grain and unscented. So you have to expect a little bit of it being pushed out of the pan with some cats. Mine doesn't do that but a little bit always gets out anyway. It's no big deal. Being A fine grain, some cats like it a lot better. There are cats with sensitive paws and anything with larger grains really bothers them. It's unscented so unless your cat covers up the poop, that will have an odor. If they cover up then there's no problem at all. I intentionally use the unscented. For us it's the least expensive of the crystal litters and because of the fine grain we like it the best. There is another litter pan in the house with normal clay litter that she won't use. What someone said about feline acne has absolutely nothing to do with any litter. Feline acne happens mostly to cats with a white chin but has nothing to do with their litter. There are excellent solutions out there so talk to your vet.
This litter used to be great, now it is so ridiculously dusty and smells like it too! I mix up my cats' crystal litter once a day and it's night and day with the most recent bag, the entire rooms stinks like litter dust. Never had this issue before. I'll be looking for a different brand of crystal litter now. Real shame
I should have read the reviews before purchasing:/ I’ve been on the lookout for a crystal litter. But this was was awful and I think completely turned me away from crystal litter altogether. It doesn’t contain the smell of urine even in the slightest bit. If anything it smelt like it amplified the smell and made it even worse! And unfortunately I’m not the only one that hated the smell….. I’ve had cats my entire life and I’ve always used clumping clay litter… the smells were never a problem… but this crystal litter is terrible.my 3 year old cat started avoiding the litter box …. He was peeing in other places in the house. wanted the litter to work so bad but turns out my cat hatted it and so did I . You get what you pay for!
I started with Pretty Litter some time in 2021. I have used 3 types of silica litter. Finishing up my use of silica litter with this type. At some point after we switched to Pretty Litter we noticed some black spots on my cats chin. Looking it up we saw it was cat acne and tried to treat it as best we could. Over the course of the last year and a half or so the chin acne got to the point of wounds on his chin, large scabs, big holes, etc. It has cost us hundreds to treat his chin and it's still not cleared up. He was always sneezy with it but I liked how clean the litter box always. The vet says it's most likely his sensitive skin and the acne got infected. So just keep in mind your kitties skin when you use the silica litter. We switched to a more natural based litter and it seems to be helping.
I've been using Fresh Step crystal cat litter and was looking to save a couple extra dollars for my two cats. I read the reviews and thought I'd just try it and see, but unfortunately, I can smell the cat pee strongly. These crystals are micro, which the bag says, but I didn't get it. I'll be going back to Fresh Step.
Seems the formula (miss all the blue crystals) for the micro and regular Frisco crystal cat litter has changed. It's tracking more, seems more dust and has to be changed more often. And more importantly, Annie has developed chin acne; it started after the formula change. I have used Frisco for at least 3 years. I may have to find another brand. So annoying, sometimes change is not good!
I was raised to ALWAYS question advertising claims, and fully expected this litter not to live up to the hype. Boy was I wrong! So pleasantly pleased. Scooping the poop once a day, the litter even pulls ,moister from that so it's practically dessicated.. and then a simple stir to the box to move around crystals that have absorbed urine. It's like I filled the box with fresh litter!! My cat had no issues in switching from our favorite walnut clumping litter to this either. LOVE IT.. and the less expense too.
This litter is almost as good as pretty litter. Trying to find something as good, but not so expensive, this has low dust but not dust free. Eleminats odor.
This litter is very fine and tracks out of the box. I would say it tracks less than clay litter, but more than the bigger crystal litters. It is also extremely dusty and stays dusty, so as you clean you are literally breathing in urine filled dust. My last complaint is the longevity of the containment of smell. The larger crystals hold the smell for twice as long (literally) than this litter, even when scooped and stirred every day. On the positive side, this litter absorbs urine a lot better and doesn’t require stirring as often as the bigger crystals. I also still prefer this litter over clay, as the tracking doesn’t leave the room the litter box is in. It serves its purpose fine and my two cats didn’t hesitate to use the litter box when I switched to this, but I personally prefer the larger crystals.
I have been using this for about 4 years. I used to love it but with the last year the litter is inconsistent. I get 7 bags every month. There may be 1 or 2 bags that are a larger grain which is what it always was. Now, there majority of my bags are very fine and dusty. I hate it. Looking to get something else or cancel my account.
