Description

Make litter box duty a breeze with Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Non-Clumping Crystal Cat Litter. This non-clumping formula is made with micro-sized crystals that absorb liquid waste and dry solid waste quickly, which helps provide superior odor control. For cats who prefer to potty on the side of the litter pans, the micro-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom. With every use, the crystals are gentle on paws so the litter is comfy to step on. Daily maintenance is easy, just remove the solid waste and stir the litter to help the absorbed liquid evaporate. These micro-crystals will continue to absorb for a full month. Plus, this formula features no added fragrance making it ideal for sensitive households.

Key Benefits
  • Micro crystals absorb liquids and lock in odors on contact.
  • One bag lasts up to a month when used with one cat, for potential savings on litter over time.
  • Sand-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom of the litter box.
  • Non-clumping formula features no added fragrance for sensitive households.
  • Micro crystals are soft on paws and easy to maintain—just scoop out solid waste and stir the crystals regularly and after every use.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid. Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.

Transition Instructions

For first time users, we recommend a gradual switch to our product. Start with 2/3 of your old cat litter and 1/3 of your new Frisco Litter. Over time, continue to add more of the Frisco Brand until your cat box has fully transitioned to this product.

FAQ

Where is this litter made?

Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Non- Clumping Crystal Cat Litter is made in China and designed and tested to meet our high-quality standards.

What is the best way to transition litters?

Most cats will have little to any resistance to transitioning to Frisco Micro Crystals Cat Litter. If your cat does not use the new litter quickly and is reluctant to enter the litter box then try the following: o Start with filling the bottom of the litter pan with the bag of Frisco Micro Crystal litter then pour a thin layer of your cat’s previous cat litter on top. Your cat will naturally mix the litter over time and become acclimated to the new texture.

Can this litter be mixed with clay while transitioning?

For best results, do not mix with other cat clay litters or additives. Just pour a thin layer of the previous litter on top so your cat will enter and use the litter box. Your cat will begin mixing the litters with its paws and after several days you will not need to do anything besides scoop the solid waste and stir the litter.

How much litter should I fill my box with?

Fill clean litter box with 3-4 inches of Frisco Micro Crystal Cat Litter.

Can this litter be used in an automatic box?

This litter can be used in any automatic litter box that supports the use of crystal litter.

Is this litter low tracking?

Always use a litter mat with your crystal litter. Crystal litter is light weight and dry so it can have a cling effect to your cat’s paws and a mat will help collect crystals to avoid tracking. Cats may like the sand texture so much that they may get overzealous in covering so always use a litter mat outside the box to collect any flying crystals.

How often should I scoop?

Remove solid waste daily and dispose of in trash. Do not flush. Thoroughly stir/mix the litter to keep crystals fresh. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 3-4 inches.

Are the crystals biodegradable?

This is litter is not biodegradable and should be disposed in the garbage only.

What is the best way to dispose of used litter?

Dispose of used litter in trash. Do not flush

    Best litter ever!

By Alexis on May 10, 2021

Years ago I was using clay litter and it was so nasty, it just turned into a brick of pee after a week even with the "multicat extreme" variety. Then I used PrettyLitter for awhile and that was great but EXPENSIVE and stained my white litterbox like crazy because of it's (useless) color changing property. This litter absorbs odors perfectly. I have the litterbox right next to my bed in a tiny trailer and no one can smell a thing. The absorption of pee is also super effective without the gross pee cement you get with clay litter.

    Mixed reaction

By Sharon on Apr 17, 2021

I used this litter for about a month. wanted something less tracking than clay. This is still tracking with microcrunchies under foot that I can't see. I have 2 mats. The dust layer is incredibly bad on nearby surfaces. It happens quickly not slowly over time. It does dry out the BM. The pee is small clumps that can be stirred. It's amazing how stirring made them disappear and didn't lower the amount of litter by much. I prefer to scoop them because it seems unsanitary to leave it so I will try the clumping crystal next. The smell wasn't bad. The refuse is lighter than clay. Maybe a bigger crystal will work better to stop micro crunchies that cling.

    Good Litter but not perfect!

By Alexa on Apr 5, 2021

Okay so after trying out this litter for almost a month I have alot of thoughts. I like that the litter does a good job with the urine smell but not so much the poop im not sure why! If your cat doesnt cover his poop then maybe this wouldnt be the best litter. I do like that it seems to track a bit less but can be impossible to find and clean up on the floor and stepping on it can be annoying, overall I feel like its an okay litter hope can they can improve it a bit, the litter I was using previously was the odor control litter by frisco that did a better job at controlling the poop odor but the clumps would always fall apart and it was extremely heavy to carry 35 lb on my own up to my apartment Okay so after trying out this litter for almost a month I have alot of thoughts. Love/Hate relationship

By mootsnco on Apr 2, 2021

I have been a clay litter person for decades (I'm a solid 45 year old crazy cat lady and have been since I was little!)....Recently decided I was tired of scraping cement off the litter box and trying to get it into a grocery bag without gagging or spilling everywhere. So, I'm a crystal cat litter person now. Absolutely love both regular and micro for urine and the ammonia smells. Because there IS NONE!!! The BMs, however, smell so much worse than with the clay. Why? Who knows? Also, really don't like that I have little micro crunchies when I step into my bathroom, from the invisible crystals being flung everywhere. At least with the clay I could see it! Wanted to love this litter, but it wasn't meant to be

By Catthings on Mar 17, 2021

So positives: I was trying for a litter that wouldn't track as much as the clay litter because that would be at least 10-15 feet away from where the litter box is located. This while still tracking didn't end up as far as the clay litter by a mile. My cat going from clay litter to this didn't seem to care and didn't refuse to go to the litter box. However, I won't be buying this again though because you can smell the cat pee on and off and the cat now has a musty cat pee smell to him. No idea why that would be vs the clay litter. But it's only been two days trying this litter, I don't want to make it to a week so I switched this out back to the clay litter. Great litter

By Trickcat on Mar 29, 2021

This litter is fine grained, more like sand, is unscented and a decent price. There is some tracking. I use a mat to catch most of it but it still tracks some. It is somewhat dusty, I try to to sift and stir with minimal movements. After using clumping clays for years, this is so much easier to clean. Pick out the poops that dry up quickly and stir the pee spots back into the litter. Only drawback, it's not bio-degradable. I like this much better than clay litters.

    Works for a week

By Julie on Apr 8, 2021

Initially I thought this was great. Our old reliable litter changed formulas and the new formula left paw prints everywhere. So, I decided to give crystals another try. This doesn't track bad at all. It smelled decent the first week but after that it just smells like something died. Also, while it doesn't track it does kick up a lot of dust when you scoop the poop.

    Game changer

By Cait on Mar 5, 2021

Crystal cat litter is a game changer! 1. This is FANTASTIC in terms of odor. Sometimes I forget we have a litter box because I don't smell it at all anymore, which is even more impressive to me because this is 100% unscented litter. 2. It is equally as fantastic in terms of cleanup. Our cats are diggers and dig to the bottom of the box to potty no matter how much litter we use. Nothing sticks to the box anymore! No more gagging while cleaning clay litter! 3. This litter does not stick to kitty paws and our girls don't track litter all over the house anymore! The only downfalls I found for this litter are: 1. It is dusty, which isn't the greatest for kitties (or humans) with allergies Crystal cat litter is a game changer! 1. This is FANTASTIC in terms of odor. It is dusty, which isn't the greatest for kitties (or humans) with allergies. It is most noticeable when I add litter to the box or change the litter out completely, but I do notice it when I clean the litter also. The dust is comparable to dust from clay litter, but I think that can largely be attributed to this being a "fine" litter. 2. The litter is so fine that our kitties kick it out of the box easily and we have a high sided box. It isn't uncommon to find a pile of clean litter behind the box because they fling it over the box. All in all, I would recommend this litter to anyone wanting to give crystal litter a try. Personally, I will probably swap to a more coarse crystal litter to help cut down on the dust & kicking issues, but even with those issues, this still beats out traditional clay litter any day and I would absolutely use this again! … more

    Goodbye clay litter

By Mimi on Apr 8, 2021

This litter works great! I decided to try it because I could no longer tolerate the smell of clay litter once my cats used it. This litter has eliminated the powerful ammonia smell that occurs with clay litter & is now all I will use from now on!

    No smell, easy clean up

By Kessligan on Mar 24, 2021

In the past we always have used arm and Hammer multi cat. But my husband hated the perfume smell but I hate the smell of cat poop. Decided to give this a try and it’s amazing it dries up the Pee and scooping is much easier. The litter does not get hard on the bottom. definitely a must buy the cat parents
