I started using the disposable litter boxes when my very senior cat Sally, 19 years old but lived to 20 years and 2 months, was starting to have problems getting in the normal rectangular hard plastic, very high sided litter boxes. I found myself having to wash and change my 5 boxes weekly. First I tried the lower sided disposable litter boxes and Sally would sometimes get into the box fine but did her duty outside of the box then I went to the jumbo high sided litter boxes which I trimmed 2” off of the entrance Sally always used. It worked like a charm. No more weekly washing of the hard plastic litter boxes and I was able to get 2 weeks worth of use with the jumbo disposable boxes. Yes, once in a while when the boxes were delivered via my auto ship, there would be a crack at the bottom but it was caused by me ordering cases of canned cat food along with 10 lb bags of hard food which was all put inside of the disposal litter boxes. So now I have separate auto ships and those issues have all but gone. Yes Sally passed almost a year ago but my other 4 cats like as do I, these Jumbo high sided disposable litter boxes.
Well, I too have been affected by the discontinuation of the Jumbo Natures Miracle disposable boxes. I was devastated when I couldn’t get them anymore. We loved them. But these aren’t too bad. I use them stacked in a set of two since the cardboard is so weak, then fill it with clumping litter. This set up holds up for about two weeks without issues or any smell. I wish they were just made better. I have three giant Maine Coon boys.
