Great for picky eaters!

This is the Strong Heart- chicken shreds with organ meat topper. I'd have to say I am very pleased with the ingredients as there are no artifical flavors added. There is only six ingredients in it and it is also made in the USA. This makes a great topper to add to picky eaters meals. I have 13 cats, and about 3/4's of them go crazy for this. This is definitely worth a try if you have a picky eater, but keep in mind this is a supplement/topper.

I was extremely impressed with this cat food. Both of my kitties LOVED it — even the picky one! The case of cans arrived in perfect condition. When I opened the first can, the quality was obvious. It looked and smelled just like real chicken, and the can was filled all the way to the top. The texture was just right — not too chunky and not too mushy. Nothing was separated, and it didn’t even need to be stirred before serving. The big test, of course, was whether my kitties would eat it. They’re both full-grown and pretty set in their ways, and one is notoriously picky about new foods. WOW! They both gobbled it up and loved every bite. I was a little concerned it might upset their tummies, as some new foods do, but they were both perfectly fine. Several days later, I’m happy to report they still love it. I definitely recommend giving it a try — especially if you have a picky cat. Side note: Take a look at the ingredients. It’s chicken! Not a bunch of by-products or chemicals. It’s exactly what my kitties deserve.

All of my cats love this. They like the 3oz in sauce much better than the 5oz in gravy. The 5 oz has much larger shreds. I switch off between the 3oz shreds (much more pate consistency) 5 oz chicken in gravy, and the split cups chicken entree. They all love it and by switching between the 3 they aren’t getting sick of it. My ibd hasn’t had a flare in weeks.

I tested this food out on my 19, 17 & 13 year old cats & am totally impressed with their response. They absolutely love it & they are all quite picky about what they will eat. They like it so much that they clean their bowls, leaving nothing behind & this means so much to me since they all have some degree of renal disease. They won't eat what the veterinarian recommends & while I have struggled to find something that they will eat well, this food just might be what will be the trick. It's a shredded product, in a rich & creamy sauce. I like the creaminess because it tells me they are getting the fluids they need. It actually smells pretty good & from their response; it tastes even better. I will definitely be ordering more of this flavor & am planning on trying other flavors offered in this brand!

Both of my cats knew something was up when I was taking out the case of food! They were very, very excited to see what I had for them. One of my cats, Austin, was part of the entire unpack process. My other cat, Tommi, patiently waited for her food by her bowl. Austin started eating it right out of the can! Tommi devoured hers and she is not a big fan of wet food! For flavor and palatability, 5 stars! However, this food is meant to be served intermittently or as a supplement to regular feedings, not as a stand alone food. I had to read the fine print on the can to see this information so I took away a star. It should be made more clear that this food is for intermittent feedings or supplementation.

The ingredient list is very limited, which is good if your cat is sensitive to some ingredients. One of my cats did not seem to care for the food, but the other really enjoyed it.

My cats seem to enjoy this treat and definitely finished it all. We prefer chicken in our multicat household and this definitely seemed to hit the spot. The texture was a little odd to me but the cats didn’t seem to mind. My cats age in range from 2-15 and it was easy for all of them to eat and enjoy. No weird smells and I would purchase this again. I do wish the can was a little bigger as I have a lot of cats to feed so one can is not ideal for a multi cat household. However I know it’s generally a normal size can.

Most shredded or chunk cat food tends to be too big for my cats to eat in one bite, so they end up just licking the gravy off and leaving the meat (ugh). But this shredded chicken food is darn near pudding consistency as gross as that sounds. So the size of the chicken shreds are actually perfect for my cats to eat. I would highly recommend, especially if you have a cat that struggles with big chunks.
