My cats have eaten this food for two years now and originally really liked it. It was a good healthy option that I felt good about feeding them. Recently both my cats started refusing to eat it. We had to switch over to a different food type to get my senior cat to eat again. Not sure if the formula changed but your mileage may vary.
We have 3cats different ages so different stages and it seemed like the better brands was to rich for there systems or we couldn’t get the kitten Maine Coon food. Or the other food would make one of the other cats stoles loss. And couldn’t keep the cats out of each other’s food. Now finally one that they all eat and it doesn’t make any of them smell and it seems to keep them regular. The only thing is I wish the kibble was bigger for the bigger cats. It’s harder for the big Maine Coons to eat all of it out of their bowls. They do come running when they hear me in there food dish for there feedings
This keeps both my cats extra soft and healthy! My one cat has an issue with always throwing up but I switched to Acana 3 years ago and she hasn't thrown up. My other cat is a maincoon and this food keeps his fur nice and silky which helps prevents matting and tangles.
Love the concept of well-rounded proteins, except that my cat can't have fish. Wish there were options without fish ingredients.
My old roommate fed this brand to her cats, and now MY cat thinks she's being mistreated if I feed her anything else besides this food. I gave a 5 star, because clearly this is the most delicious thing, second only to her (equally expensive) wet food. I'm brand loyal out of obligation now. No escape.
My fussy Bengal LOVES his Royal Canin Bengal or Siamese which have been out of stock for over 2 years, so the Chewy Customer Service Rep recommended Acana Indoor (along with four other choices) based mostly on the feature I sought out most: high palatability. This food appears crunchy and is smallish in individual size. Maybe my cat has problems with new dry food--not sure exactly what the problem is, but he wasn't wild about this one.
I found the answer to hair balls!!! This food has done the trick for us.. I haven't seen anymore hairballs around.
Both my cats love this. I have had to start them off slowly as diarrhea when given too much. About 5 individual kibbles then adding a few more each day.
my two boys love this kibble, they wake me up at 6am every day meowing for it. they’ve been eating it for a few months now and have maintained a good weight and are healthy
My fussy Max loves Acana hard food! Max is very spoiled and he will nosh on this along with his wet food. He only likes the best !
