The chicken flavor seems good - others not so much
By PetParent on Mar 3, 2021
I want to say first that the chicken flavor of this food seems good and even better quality than average? Also the cats liked all flavors. But I (human) have issues with the other three. The "funk in the trunk" and "lamburger" recipe seem fine and the cats like them -- my problem is that they are mislabeled! "lamburger" has fish as both the first and second ingredient! and "funk in the trunk" is described as "chicken recipe in pumpkin consume" but it also has tuna. I don't mind feeding fish to my cats, but owners should be able to make their own decisions, so products should be labeled in a non-misleading way. Would it be so hard to label these flavors as "lamb and fish" or "chicken and tuna I want to say first that the chicken flavor of this food seems good and even better quality than average? Would it be so hard to label these flavors as "lamb and fish" or "chicken and tuna in pumpkin consume" respectively? Finally, the salmon was truly horrible. It just looks like some fish guts and skin in gelatin, with a terrible smell. I wouldn't feel good giving it to any cat. Maybe I got a bad can? But I don't want to open the others because it is really gross. … more

Cat loved all at first but tired of the salmon and lamb
By Glen on Feb 21, 2021
My 15.5 year old cat has chronic kidney disease, but doesn't like the prescription food so I tried Weruva because it offers high quality proteins with reasonable phosphorus levels (The Weruva site offers full nutrition info on all its products, include protein and phosphorus levels that CKD pet owners are usually most concerned about.) After a couple of packs, she wouldn't eat the pink (salmon) and green (lamb) cans as much as other two chicken-based ones, I sensed they were too "rich" for her elderly system. Actually, that was fortunate for us, because those two have higher phosphorus amounts compared to the chicken based ones, so now I buy the latter exclusively in 24 can sets, alongside My 15.5 year old cat has chronic kidney disease, but doesn't like the prescription food so I tried Weruva because it offers high quality proteins with reasonable phosphorus levels (The Weruva site offers full nutrition info on all its products, include protein and phosphorus levels that CKD pet owners are usually most concerned about.) Long story short, this variety pack is good to determine the flavors your cat likes best before you order specific flavors exclusively. But the price of the variety pack is not bad, and your cat may appreciate the variety of all four flavors on an ongoing basis. … more

insufficient protein
By EriNC on Mar 3, 2021
This wet food like what seems to be all other wet foods does not contain sufficient protein. To meet protein requirements 3.25(3 and 1/4 can) cans would be required per day for a 13 pound cat, and 2.75 (2 and 3/4 can)cans per day for an 11 pound cat. Cats require a minimum of 2g protein per pound of body fat. This food supplies 0.77g protein per pound of body weight, for an 11 pound cat, and 0.65g protein per pound of body weight for a 13 pound cat Calculations: 0.10(10%) protein x 85 ( weight in grams) is 8.5(grams of protein per can) divided by cats weight ( my cat is 11 pounds equals 0.77g protein per pound of body weight.

Searching for the best wet food
By Pickykitty on Feb 26, 2021
My kitty is 9 months old, active & greedy but crazy picky. I learned that cats need a high moisture diet so I'm determined to find the best/healthiest/cleanest canned wet food short of me making it myself. Price point is important too. So far on my hunt I've tested him on Rachel Ray's (he smelled it, took a bite and refused to eat anymore), I and Love and You (he'll eat most of the varieties but doesn't like the chicken and takes a while to get through meal time). With Weruva he chows down. I think we may have found a match but I have a few more that I'd like to try before settling and to just have some options for when he decides he wants to switch it up a little.

VERY good quality wet food
By Ruth on Mar 2, 2021
I ordered this wet food along with some other dry food as a placeholder while we wait for our order of raw to arrive. It is amazing! The chicken is in shreds, the salmon chunks have skin on them, the lamb is reddish like lamb meat. I am not left guessing what kind of nasty stuff could be in this food! Plus it’s not overly smelly, which is more telling that it’s superior quality. This is the best wet food I’ve ever tried for my cats! It’s a great idea to feed along side dry food to get extra moisture and meat to your kitty.

Cat won't eat it; smells horrid
By Father on Feb 26, 2021
My cat loves canned wet food, so I thought I'd treat her and explore some of the more pricey options in that domain. She'll lick the sauce off of these, but refuses to take a single bite. They also smell beyond foul. The odor is so bad that is a sickening experience to open up the can. To be fair, the portion size seems adequate, so if your cat does like these, you aren't necessarily getting hosed.

We liked it, for the most part
By leolunaravi on Feb 4, 2021
We loved both chicken meals and enjoyed the lamb as well. The fish we were not into and hardly even touched. Would reccomend for the normal kitty but would be better without the fish included add more chicken!! We loved the chicken and scarfed it down. Overall a pretty good purchase! Leo (5 years old) wasn't super into any of the dishes but ate a bit of chicken. Ravi loved the chicken and devoured the lamb and so did Luna (both 9months old)

My geriatric kitty loves this!
By dcleaver47 on Feb 3, 2021
My increasingly picky 19 year old kitty loves loves loves this. It's been a real challenge getting him to eat these past few years. We finally settled on fancy feast, which is fine, but not exactly healthy. And then one day he turned up his nose at the fancy feast. I randomly grabbed some of this from the pet store and he loved it. So I ordered an entire case, and he continued to just LOVE it. I feel good about the quality, and my picky old man feels good about the flavor.

My three cats love it
By AlyJ on Jan 22, 2021
I have three one year old cats and they seemed to be getting bored of the soft food that I’ve been feeding them the last 8 months (Healthy Gourmet from Blue), so I got this to mix things up a bit and they loved it! I like that the texture is like actual meat, and not pate or flakes (which are essentially just pate pellets). The food is smelly in the way that cats love. As soon as I crack open the can they are impatient for me to get it in their bowls. This brand seems to have a lot of variety so I’m excited to have my cats try them all out. I would want some variety in my life too if I was a cat, especially a house cat.

Happy cats, happy life
By Nikola on Jan 30, 2021
I switched my two Scottish Folds to this food recently on a recommendation from another owner. It’s been a hit. My older Fold is picky, and has never cared for fish selections, but now he cleans his plate daily and especially enjoys the fish recipe in this pack. My youngest is a hearty eater regardless, but his coat looks beautiful and his energy is great. No leftovers drying out, and a healthy, quality diet.
