I have a cat with IBD. I've given her the salmon flavor and she does great. Are the chicken options also good for cats with IDB?
Answer by catmomJul 13, 2021
My boy has IBD and chicken is the biggest trigger for him. From what I understand every cat has different triggers with IBD. It’s just food trials that help you determine what is not agreeing with them.

Why is menadione sodium bisulfite complex not listed as an ingredient on this site but it is on the cans and packaging??
Answer by ChewySep 20, 2019
This ingredient is listed as "Vitamin K3 Supplement" in this food. Menadione is a synthetic version of vitamin K which is sometimes listed on pet food labels as menadione sodium bisulfate.

Which flavor has the lowest carb content?
Answer by ChewyJan 31, 2018
The product with the lowest approximate Carbohydrate count is Chicken and Quail Egg.

Would this be good for cats that need less carbohydrates? Or Diabetic
Answer by ChewyNov 08, 2018
This food is not formulated to address any medical concerns. These varieties have a range of 0.8% - 6.4% Carbohydrate content. Due to your pet's diagnosed condition, we recommend consulting your Veterinarian to see what would be a good fit for your little one's current treatment plan.

Tiki Cat after Dark cat food

Well the boys (Sunny & Ozzie) LOVE it. Unlike other exotic cat food. Good combo choices in the variety pack. In fact the one with the quail egg, actually has a half of a cooked quail egg. I split it for them. I dinged them one star because the cost is so high. Also the can diameter is not a normal size, they are slightly larger. Just enough where you cannot fit a traditional small cover on them. Only a minor annoyance. Overall, I'll buy again, but not on every order.

High quality and cat approved!

I have two cats and they suddenly decided to stop liking their grain free wet food that they have eaten their entire two years of life. It is important to me that they eat wet food atleast one meal a day so I have tried a few other brands and the cats didn’t want anything to do with them. With tiki cat my cats were confused at first as they are used to pate and not meat chunks but as soon as I put some of their favorite kibble on top of the wet food entice them-they gobbled it all up and have been loving it ever since! I feel great knowing it’s high quality cat food though it is expensive so I only can feed it for dinner and their breakfast is dry food. Regardless you get what you pay for and we all love it

Not for our cats

One of our cats scarfed down the first two cans I gave him, even the little quail egg. Unfortunately, after the first two cans, none of our cats would do more than a couple licks and I'd end up throwing it out at the end of the day. In case it was the shreds they didn't like, I did try to put it through the food processor and they still wouldn't eat it. I wish they did like it because it is a really good, quality food.

Crack for cats!

Chloe our cat absolutely LOVES this food. She only gets it in the morning and she drives you crazy meowing to get fed. She attacks the dog if she comes near while waiting and fixing her food. She almost doesn’t want just dry food anymore. She shows her HANGRY cat hole side in the mornings for this food.

Picky eater approved

My cat is the pickiest eater I’ve ever seen but he absolutely loves this specific brand/type. It’s a little pricey but has been worth the money. He use to throw up and have tummy problems but that has completely stopped since switching to this. He loves the after dark (dark meat) and his vet agrees it’s been a healthy change.

Cats can't get enough

Tiki After Dark has became my cats favorite go to food. I have had issues with every single food I've ever tried and because they have chronic IBD and seniors Tiki was the only brand I could feed them that they all 3 would eat but after awhile those fish flavors Tiki foods wreaked havoc in my cats intestines due to too much mercury so they started throwing up and many vet visits. Well now the one flavors I thought my cats would Definitely not eat was the after dark with bits inside. Well I was wrong and not only is it the only thing they will eat, they no longer throw up constantly and haven't had any vet visits due to the food I fed them. Cats are happy with Tiki After Dark which makes me happy and my vet very happy. Thx you Chewy cause you guys have worked with me and dealt with me threw several issues with my cats and the food I was picking. After Dark is amazing and Chewys customer service and help has been the best.

great low carb & high protein food for cats

This is one of the healthiest canned foods you can feed your cat and mimics what they would eat in the wild. I do wish they offered a pate formula.. my cats will only eat pate so I blend it up and they love it (yes, my cats are spoiled!)

Tiki Cat is low carb

Unfortunately, my picky cat doesn't like this. I donated it to someone who is feeding feral cats, so it will be eaten! It looks good to this human, and it's low carb and great for diabetic cats. The diabetic cat we had loved it.

Great food: Beware Quail Egg

Absolutely LOVE the tiki cat wet food! My cats go crazy for it, and the variety is definitely a plus! They get a different flavor every day. My only issue is the quail egg formula. It is an entire half of a hard boiled egg, and I had to cut it every time to make sure my cats don't choke. Otherwise, I would give this food a 6/5 if I could!!
