This recipe is suitable for dogs of all life stages and breed sizes. For puppies, at 1 ½ to 3 months, feed twice the adult amount. At 3-6 months, feed 1 ½ times the adult amount. At 6-11 months, feed 1 ¾ times the adult amount.

My dog has been on Acana Beef & Pumpkin for a long time. I use a treat-dispensing toy, so I handle the kibble a lot. About halfway through this last 22lb bag, I ordered from Chewy I started noticing little straw or yellow grass, like pieces stuck on the kibble. I’ve never seen this in any of my previous bags. My dog is still eating it fine, but the texture and appearance threw me off. Not sure if this is normal for this formula or if I just got an odd batch. Has anyone else noticed this?

Given that larger quantities of kibble seem to get stale quicker, I would’ve expected a closure across the packaging to keep the bag closed. The smaller version has this closure. The larger bag is just open to the environment.

My dog is allergic to peas and flaxseed so this is one of the few dog foods she can have. I choose this brand because it is a significantly higher quality, better ingredients, high quality protein, and additional good nutritional ingredients added, not just fillers. She loves how it tastes, it leaves her coat looking gorgeous and healthy, and she has much less waste than other brands which tells me she is absorbing more nutrients. It is expensive, but worth it.

I was adding water to this food for my senior German Shepherd. After 2 weeks he didn’t like the food and had gas. Then in week 4 he acted like he had bloat and was drinking water and panting. Best Dog Food for German Shepherd?) German Shepherd Food | CHARM ...Yes, citric acid in dry food, especially when moistened, can increase the risk of bloat in older Dogs. This food adds citric acid as a preservative. So I will have to discard the other bags of this food.

I have been buying this brand exclusively for years because my dog is highly allergic to all other foods. BUT, Acana must have changed something, because my dog is back at the vets with eye issues stemming from allergies. Then this morning I go to feed her and took a look at her food. Disgusting! WHAT is in her food? Straw? Grass? This stuff is stuck to her food. Now I have to start all over at trying to find the right diet for her. Shame on you Acana.....Especially for what you charge!

Soda both get suck on this even in small quantities.

The dogs get the runs. I added this to their raw and they get sick. Then I take it away and add a handful, they get sick. Not sure what’s in this but i wish I hadn’t
