Finally!
I don't typically leave reviews, but after countless trials and errors with several (expensive) limited ingredient dog foods, we finally found the right food for our mini aussie who struggles with a very sensitive stomach and loose stools. Highly recommend!
My dog loves it!
After feeding Stella, my 9-year-old Aussie Rottie, Science Diet and a couple of other brands over the years, I'm so glad I decided to try Acana dry and wet food. She's had issues with allergies, so I'm happy that Acana Limited Ingredient Diet has no fillers and nor potential allergens. She loves all of their dry and canned food that I've given her. (I've also fed her the Light & Fit dry, plus I give her a small of amount of their canned food added to the dry in the evening.) She's got a healthy and shiny coat, more energy and fewer loose poops.
picky eater loves it!
I have the pickiest German shepherd ever, been through SOOO many different brands of kibble from super expensive to cheap and he loves this flavor in particular. He scarfs it down! My other German shepherd however won't touch it lol. Guess that's how it goes sometimes.
Not "pea-free"
The concern isn't about peas, necessarily, but legumes. This product lists lentils as one of the first few ingredients. Lentils are legumes.
FINALLY FOUND ONE
We broke down and decided to try this food after trying 2 dozen other brands. Who would’ve thought that a limited ingredient diet would actually make my 3 dogs excited to eat. They all suffer from loose stools and this has been the best food yet. My dogs love the flavor and it’s an excellent quality of ingredients.
Glad I purchased
My poor dog was so unenthusiastic about his other food, it was depressing to watch him eat, lol. So I've changed him over to a raw and dry diet using Acana and what a difference. I know it's a little more expensive, but when a dog shares his love or dislike of something, (or too much like of something and gains weight - that's not good at all), pay attention. Glad I did, and happy I purchased Acana - his new food going forward.

Would not purchase again
This seemed to be ok the first month ,but my dogs are getting a bad reaction to this food.. they have had beef before and no problem.. and this bag smells funny a slight mildew oder...taking my boy to the vet tomorrow.
Perfect for allergies
My dog is allergic to corn, rice, green peas, oat and rice. I was spending $140 every six weeks for a prescription food, per vet recommendation. They didn't love the flavor but ate it fine. I logged into the allergy company's website and this food was noted as safe for her, without a prescription! I switched them over Acana and they cannot get enough of this food!
Do not buy
I was slowly switching to this food when my dog became seriously ill with gastrointestinal issue. She almost died. 2,000 later she is finally recovering for which I give God and the doctors the thanks.
