    Wanted to love this

    By Mathilda28 on Nov 20, 2021

I've been feeding Acana Wholesome Grains, either Duck and Pumpkin or Lamb and Pumpkin, formulas to our three dogs for three or four months now. I love the ingredient profile and, initially, how well our dogs seemed to do on it. Our English Bulldog has a very sensitive tummy and allergies. Our vet recommended trying a basic lamb and rice dry food to help with her allergies. Not wanting to lose out on the progress we saw with ACANA, I combined the two foods for awhile. Unfortunately our EB didn't tolerate the lamb (either brand) well. And now seems to have digestive issues with the duck and pumpkin. Our other two dogs love and have done well with ACANA.

    Amazing food!

By Rindiny on Oct 20, 2021

I wish this wasn’t so expensive and came in larger bags. This is the best food with the best ingredients. My pup’s poops were solid, small and her coat shiny. I recommend this to anyone that could afford this food. Best by far, I wish I didn’t have to make the switch, it’s very hard to find food that works for your dog and your standards. I’m very picky, my girl and two boys not so much.

    Dogs Love this food

By PamJG on Nov 12, 2021

I bought this food originally as I was hoping it would help stop my dogs itching. She is allergic to beef and I was thinking maybe chicken too. But I guess not, but it doesn't matter now as she loves this food. It hasn't helped her itching but her coat looks better and is very soft.

    Great dog food

By Kbond on Aug 12, 2021

Changed from Meadowland to Single Duck & Pear, being one of my dogs has tummy issues. Opened the first bag today, first impression was Wow! The food even though dry looked appetizing and smelled awesome. I could actually smell the pears believe it or not. My dogs are not picky eaters but I'm sure they appreciate what I feed them.

It meets my requirements for a quality food that contains no legumes and some grain. Our dogs agree, and love it.

    Picky pup approved

By Daisy on Jun 26, 2021

Both my dogs love this food, even my picky eater. It smells great, not too dry and crumbly like others, seems overall great quality. Limited ingredients are good for my other pup with a few food sensitivities. Highly recommend.

Great ingredients! Worked well for our previously grain-free dog!

By MiaMia on May 22, 2021

We love the ingredients/nutrition in the food! Our dog has been grain free for the last five years and we wanted to try introducing some grains to see if it made her itchy. It has not! We feed it half and half with a non-grain dogfood and we have been very happy with it!

    Commitment to Excellence

By Disappointed on Apr 13, 2021

Acana was a brand carried by the original owners of Chewy back in the day. Unfortunately it was dropped, so I am delighted to see they are carrying it again as it is one of the best dry dog foods available. With two very picky Chihuahuas, it is the only kibble that will pass their discerning palates. We use both Duck & Pumpkin and Lamb & Apple for a third Chi who has skin allergies.
