How many cats will fit inside?

Can this be stuffed with straw as well or would that become a fire hazard?

using blankets during winter isn't advisable. They become wet from the cat going outside in snow and rain then the blankets become wet. When wet they become cold and can lower the cats body temperature, if lowered enough the cat can die from hyperthermia.

Does the heated pad have to be set to 2,4, or 6 hours or can it be set to on all the time?

You can keep on the heated pad without setting a timer.

Can door #1 be switched to the other side?

The door is fixed and cannot be repositioned.

We chose this design because it has multiple exits for the safety of a feral cat that has adopted us. The size is good for 1 or 2 cats. The liner should provide good insulation this winter. It hasn't been cold enough for the heater to come on yet, so I can't assess its quality. The instructions were clear, screw holes were pre-drilled, and the grey color compliments our home's color. The item as received had a few chips and cracks which is probably because the materials are light weight and damage easily. Most appeared to be minor and, for the price, I expected this. When we were connecting the side and back panels we found one of the cracked pieces was bad enough to require repair before we could put on the roof. In summary, two person assembly is definitely easier, and (at least in our case) the 30 minute time to assemble noted in the instructions is very optimistic! I was disappointed that we needed to repair the house before we could complete assembly, but hopefully most buyers won't need to repair things out of the box.

Shoddy craftsmanship

Ordered 2 of these for our outside strays, hoping to keep them dry and warm this winter. Out of the package, the first thing I noticed was the paint job. It feels like a little more than primer and definitely not a coating that will stand up to the elements. Also, some of the wood pieces have splintered at the ends, exposing the bare wood. Feels like something someone made from a shipping pallet. Next, there are visible gaps between the slats in the panels. Not sure how this house is supposed to stand up to the elements. Seems like it’s going to need a paint job and some caulking if there are any hopes for it to last past the winter. Definitely not worth the price paid.

Nice but could be so much better!

Quality could be so much better. The sides are slatted and not tight. Velcro doesn't seem to be in the correct place to keep the insulated pads in correctly.

Quality could be so much better. The sides are slatted and not tight. Velcro doesn't seem to be in the correct place to keep the insulated pads in correctly. We replace the main plastic barrier door with an actual cat door. We also added a layer of bubble insulation because it isn't sealed well. The bottom floor panels should have some support and we put a screw in so it holds together better. Hoping this holds up well lasting a few years and haven't tried to see how weather proof it is. I also flex sealed the whole thing.

Super well constructed outdoor kitty house !

The feral kitties have called it home. There are at least 4 full grown cats staying warm inside in this nasty NE Indiana winter.

I liked that is had several exits. Also the insulation and heated floor.

It's a nice size. I have a mom and 9 kittens. They could probably all cuddle up in it.
