Doesn't have a thermostat

Unfortunately it's either off or on. You can't keep it out or let it get wet-like shown in photo, so had to find a protected spot away from the dog. It DOES keep

Unfortunately it's either off or on. You can't keep it out or let it get wet-like shown in photo, so had to find a protected spot away from the dog. It DOES keep the water from freezing. Was 12 degrees F this AM, however it dries out the wet food bowl! VERY frustrating. I wanted something I didn't have to turn off and and on and would regulate with outdoor temperatures. Now I've had to get a container & add water to the wet food. Because unfortunately I never know when the cats will show up. So it needs frequent monitoring. This isn't something I would use in a barn for barn cats either unless, again, watched closely.

This system is perfect for keeping fresh water unfrozen outdoors for cats, small dogs, wildlife. My cat is indoors at night and in and out during the day. I also like I can provide fresh water for the birds and squirrels on my patio which has the deck over it on the 2nd level of my house. It has an on/off switch on the top that lights up. You can use the bowls for food and water or just water or just food . It warms enough to stop it from feeezing. I do change the water daily since the heat can make some dissipation of water over time. Those huge heated dog water bowls are way too big for my cat and the small animals and birds to drink from.

It’s working great for my outdoor feral kitty! We live near Buffalo ny so it can get brutally cold here. This product is helping my out kitty eat on the coldest days. Before this he had to go days with no food or water because it would freeze. Now it’s not an issues and he’s happy and healthy! Highly recommend

I have a fixed feral that I am feeding and wanted to make sure that he could have wet food and water throughout winter. I have this on my porch along with his heated bed. Easy to clean and seems to keep the water warm not hot. Came in handy this past week when the temps dipped to single digits.

Worked for 2 days

Bought this for my coons and opossum to eat out of. Literally, worked for 2 days and then stopped working properly. Don't waste your money on this.
