My cat Missy can now enjoy her heated bowl of water dish. She stays in our covered garage. She is a feral cat and one of the Trap and Release program. The heated bowl ensures she has plenty of fresh water despite the plunging temperature. Beware not to put wet food and leave it too long, as it will dry out the food. Even with water, you need to keep replenishing it. It works, just replenish fresh water daily.

I like using this for my 6 stray cats I feed outside. The dishes are the same size and.big enough to hold 3-4 cans of cat food and a few cups of dry food. The only problem it doesn't have a shut off switch after I remove the dishes. I. have choice either have it on all day or unplug it which isn't each the plus is in a safe dry location. That's why I only gave it 3 stars, for safety reasons I would of preferred an automatic shut off or a switch on the unit;

I hate to write a review so soon after I made the purchase because I don't know if I'm going to run into any problems, but, as it stands now, this was a great purchase

I hate to write a review so soon after I made the purchase because I don't know if I'm going to run into any problems, but, as it stands now, this was a great purchase. Well made, substantial bowl sizes, and does the job. It keeps the water from freezing. It has been in the teens. I hope it keeps working. This is a review after 2 days of use. I'm using it for the feral cats I feed on my deck.

I got this for a stray porch cat that I care for. I felt bad about her water dish freezing and I already have a heated house for her so I got this bowl so she would have fresh water even when it was cold out. It hasn't gotten to be a super hard freeze here yet but at least when it is in the 20's the water has stayed liquid and noticeably warmer than the air temp. I do have it in a covered area.

I am very happy with this heated bowl and water set. It's extremely easy to use, as it has no buttons or extra plug-ins (the base automatically heats when plugged into power); the base does not get dangerously hot; it is easy to clean (the two metal bowls provided pop out easily and there are no extra layers to clean or work around); and it is a great size for many different animals. I started out using this for my cats, and now use it for my chickens due to the safety and durability of it. The only 'downside' we have encountered is that the box was opened when it arrived, so I worried about the condition of it, but it is completely fine and brand new, and we believe the treaded cable was not wrapped tight enough and caused the box to open. We would recommend this product for anyone looking for heated bowls or waterers.

Perfect for your outdoor buddies this winter

My indoor cats started using this heated bowl when the weather had highs in the 70s, and continued to use it for a few weeks until the nights were in the low 40's

My indoor cats started using this heated bowl when the weather had highs in the 70s, and continued to use it for a few weeks until the nights were in the low 40's. Pros: This is a HEARTY set that did not move around the floor. The cord is thick and I don't think could be chewed through without significant effort. The bowls were easily hand-washed and dishwasher safe. The large size was enough to hold water and dry food for 2 cats for over 24 hours. The warmth of the unit heated the dry food, and made it aromatic. Cons: Since there are no buttons, the unit can either be "on" or "off". Because of this, the water got very warm when the weather was warm, and the cats did not like it. Once the weather cooled down, the water was the perfect temperature for them. Based on this, I think this would be the perfect unit for your outdoor friends, especially when it's cold outside. The box itself is very thin (especially compared to the heavy unit!) and when the package arrived the box was damaged, opened, and the unit had come out of the box. Thankfully the unit and cord were not damaged and just needed a quick cleaning.

I am so pleased with this heated outdoor cat feeding bowl set. My feral friends are loving the generous capacity (3 cups) bowls to fill their bellies and drink ample unfrozen water. This has been a game changer for being able to offer fresh water in the winter. I love that the stainless steel dishes are removable for cleaning and filling—a well thought feature. Lastly, the cord is nice and long (a little over 6') and protected from the elements as well as from any chewing critters. No switch to turn on, just plug and go. This product is a quality improvement to the care of my outdoor ferals. Highly recommend.

Perfect if you have any outdoor pets, small bowls, keeps it so it won’t freeze. Nice long cord able to extend farther than you think. We have 2 cats that will spend 8 hours outside and this product gives us the peace of mind that they are able to get water when needed. I wish there was an on off switch or you could choose the temperature.

No longer ice cold water

I got this for my cat George who has been living on my deck and property for nine years. Every winter, when I'm there, I always make sure that I gave him WARM

I got this for my cat George who has been living on my deck and property for nine years. Every winter, when I'm there, I always make sure that I gave him WARM TO HOT WATER. When I was no longer checking on him for the night, I would give him more towards hot water, hoping he would just go to bed in his straw and Styrofoam filled container, under a table and protected by a tarp. I bought this for him and please note that the temps have been above freezing, even at night. I'll know more in another month or two. The water is kind of warm but I really wish that there was a switch for me to raise the temperature, that's why I gave it four stars and not five. The water, with evening temps in the upper 30s, has been good and I could feel some warmth. I made the mistake of overfilling the water bowl. It went underneath and that changed the water temp to cool. Do NOT overfill the water bowl. I hope it becomes warmer as the temps drop. I just wish I could physically set the temperature myself. But George seems to love it so far. And that's all that matters.
