Can i set the temperature? Can i set hours to be on?
Answer by HillaryJan 28, 2023
TL;DR: No, you can't set the temperature. No, you can't set hours to be on, but you can use a separate timer plug to achieve the same thing. From another website's description: "It uses an internal thermostat to keep the temperature at a desirable 102 when the pet lies upon the heated pad; and will remain 10-15 degrees above ambient air temperature when your pet is not on the bed." From my experience with owning four of them: The bed will barely feel warm if unoccupied, but if anything is covering it (pet, blanket), it will get toasty. My indoor cats love these, and my outdoor cat sleeps on one in a cardboard box in the garage all winter. There is no integrated timer, but I've successfully used these with wifi plugs set to a schedule (FEIT and Alexa types). A cheap rotary timer plug would work, too. I can recommend these from several years of use. Hope this helps!

Can this heating pad remain plugged in for a week?
Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2018
You should always unplug the K&H Pet Products Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Pet Bed from the outlet when not in use.

Can a blanket/pad be placed under the heated pad? Can the heated pad be placed inside a igloo type house?
Answer by ChewyNov 17, 2018
It's recommended to place the Lectro-Soft directly on a hard, flat surface in your home, garage, porch, kennel or pet house and should not be covered with blanket, or pad.

Does this pad need to be flat? The house we have it a bit smaller. Can part of it curve up the side as long as it’s not folded?
Answer by ChewyJan 01, 2018
For accurate heating results, it's recommended this heated pad lay flat.

Awesome Heating Pad

I have a 15-year old chihuahua/dachshund mix and his old heating pad finally died. This was the perfect replacement. It actually inflates slightly to add additional comfort. I used the old pad’s cover as my dog likes to burrow but otherwise, it’s perfect for my needs.

Our cat adores these warming pads

Our cat loves these warming pads! No matter where we put them (usually in front of windows she can watch out of) she stays there nearly all day and night. She never gets too warm but you can look at her and tell she is soooo happy on her warmies. Great product and still going strong a year+ later for our first purchase!

does not work

We ordered one, it barely got warm. Returned for another, same thing. It's supposed to inflate and then heat up when the animal lies on it. that does not happen.

Great for outdoor use

This is the second heating outdoor pad that I have bought. The first one I purchased about 8 years ago and it is still going strong. They are very sturdy and operate as they should. I just wipe them down with soap and water at the end of the season and store them till the next winter. Sturdy, wire covered cord is well constructed.

Love these beds

I have a couple of these, and my cats love them. You can inflate them to your preference. Since I figured my cats would rather have it on the softer side, I didn't inflate it too much. It took one of them a little getting used to (think of it like walking on an air mattress), but they all love it now. The heating element definitely works well, too. A++

Cats Love It.

I have one that I bought many years ago about 16 and it still works. I bought another one because my two boys can not fit on it together. They both sleep on them all night long. The only difference is the new one will not get air into it and it's just flat!! Let it sit plugged in for an hour after opening it a few days after Christmas and it just won't get air into it. The old one no problem it filled with the air like it is suppose to for a nice little air cushion. Maybe I will try again, but either way my big boy sleeps on it and that's all that matters, he likes it. I just hope it last as long as the one I've had for all these years. I will give it 4 stars for the air not inflating.

Michigan winter

I am so happy and grateful for this product! I have a huge problem with feral cats. This has worked really well for my situation. This seems to be a very safe and effective way to deal with the winter weather.

Just OKAYYYY

I’m not impressed with this heating pad. It doesn’t provide much warmth at all. I touch it and barely feel anything. It’s plastic and has a cover however the cover is so flimsy and really feels like with time it won’t stay on. It’s only on one side too. I really haven’t decided if I wanna keep it or not. The only part I do like is that it does seem safe to leave on for longer periods of time with the thick cord and the coils over the cord.

Didn't work

I put these outside with water bowls on top of them so that the water wouldn't turn to ice. The water was a block of ice the next morning. We went through 4 days of temps below freezing - mostly in the teens. I wanted to make sure the outdoor neighborhood cats had a place to get water. It didn't work. Will be returning them

just what I was looking for

I built a house for 3 feral cats that live under our deck and wanted something to keep them warm in the winter months. the 2 mats I bought worked perfect. they are very well made. the house is insulated and I have a blink camera inside, so I can see the temperature inside. it stays around 60 when it's 30 outside. they were worth the money
