So Disappointed

We bought this and needed it it ASAP. We`re feeding a feral cat, and needed this to give her shelter from the elements, since it`s beginning to get cold, rainy and even snowy. It showed up on the porch about 4:00 pm on Friday, and I git it unboxed immediately and began to assemble. The box says that ALL holes are pre-drilled, and they all were...except for the holes on the two sides of the house. By the time I called the manufacturer at 4:12 pm, they were gone for the weekend. Fortunately Chewy Customer Service is available 24/7. After speaking with a Chewy Customer Service Rep, she verified what I already knew-the sides of the house should have been pre-drilled too-she put an order in for a replacement immediately. Unfortunately, this ships directly from the manufacturer, so it won`t ship until Monday and this poor feral cat will be out in the weather until we receive the replacement house, but at least Chewy was there for us.

Great cat house!

This little house is the perfect size for our little feral cat. She was afraid of it at first and didn't like the plastic flap, so we took it off. We also bought a warming pad to make it really cozy. It is gratifying to see her curled up in there on chilly nights. My husband was able to assemble it easily with his cordless drill. Thanks, Chewy!

out door cat house

very well made, easy to assemble. our cat has had some problems adjusting to it but that is normal. outside cats tend to stay away from new houses until they sent the entire area.

Easy peasy

This cat house arrived in just a couple of days. What’s more impressive was the ease of assembly. Our mamma cat and her two kittens have used it on our carport for a couple of weeks and the kittens especially seem to like it. It smells like cedar and is easy to clean. Summer is very humid, rainy, and warm in South Louisiana but our cats are comfortable.

Not that great

The wood is a very soft cedar, which cats generally don’t like. It’s not going to last through one of our rainy winters here, and it looks like the only insulated part is the roof. Although well-packaged the wood was already chipped and splintered when I opened it. I’m going to return this and get one of the slightly more expensive but much more durable igloos.

Good, but not great

This house claims it is insulated. I only see wood planks. It’s hard to tell where the insulation is, if any. It sits above the ground which is great, and the roof has easy access. It’s also hard to tell if the roof is 100% waterproof. Not positive. The cat did go and sleep there, but the main reason I bought it, was for sub-zero temperatures. Seems somewhat thin. Average to assemble.

love this house

I got the house put together it looks wonderful. My cat she used to live inside the house now prefers outdoors and I don’t want him to freeze in the winter. so I bought this house I was skeptical to see if he use it at all. he absolutely loves it naps in it every chance he gets when he comes home after he finishes his food and water I am very happy with this purchase.

Great house for feral cats

I care for three feral cats every day. I have concern for them keeping warm and dry through the colder winter months. This cat house is well made, and I was able to put it together easily. This one is much nicer than the ones I have purchased previously. Now I have 3 little houses, one for each kitty. I also purchased kitty beds to put inside.
