This house definitely satisfies the need I had for a place to feed our neighborhood outdoor cat. We had provided her with a small house with a heating pad but feeding her in wet, snowy, or windy weather conditions was really a nightmare. This house is roomy enough for two dishes and her all at once. (She is a small cat) The ability to top load is great and she will jump in from above when I open it. I just need to be careful to not close it on her tail as the roof is quite hefty; which is great for keeping the house firmly in place. My only issue was that the ramp ‘door’ blocked the ability to exit since the plastic door strips are quite stiff and get caught on the edge of the ramp. I removed the ramp so she could get in and out more easily. I also found the construction a bit difficult as there were no pre-drilled holes in the side panels. All in all though, this house works perfectly for its intended use and also gives kitty another insulated option should the power go out, which gives me peace of mind.

This shipped in well packed and organized package. The instructions were clear, so easy to put together. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into its construction

I bought this for the feral cat visitors on my mother's property and the kitties seem to love it and use it all the time! Excellent protection for Chicagoland winters!

Issues with this product: --The plastic door cover is so long and thick that it is impossible for an animal to go through. --There is no insulation at all in the floor or side walls. If there is any insulation in the roof, it is not perceivable. --The ramp/door is useless. Once you take off the thick plastic, the door is open, and of course you don't want to shut an animal in there by closing the ramp. Good points: It is raised off the ground, and the roof is not going to leak and will shed moisture.

My indoor outdoor cat absolutely loved this house, but even with the roofing material on the top, tonight I went out to collect her bed to wash it and found mold everywhere. I’m super frustrated because this is supposed to be an outdoor house and it didn’t even last a year and it wasn’t cheap.

The only thing that I didn't like was the plastic strips on the door is very stiff and cat doesn't like going inside. I understand they need to be for protection, but a way to remove half until the cat gets used to it would be nice.

This cat house is really good quality. Unfortunately, I had to get a refund on it. The sides of the house is missing holes for the screws. Which was disappointing because I really need this cat house to shelter a stray due to the bad weather. I recommend making sure to have a drill on hand before ordering this item.

I like this outdoor cat shelter. If I were 8 lbs, I would move right in. My cat is, however, committed to the hobo lifestyle and reuses to use it, preferring to hunker down under a tarp on the ground. There's no accounting for taste. I fully recommend this product for cats who, unlike my weirdo, like being warm and cozy.

Top opend

Have a cat that comes to my house. I feed him and thought he needed shelter in our cold snowy winter. He seems to really like it.

Warmth for a stray

We had a stray dropped off where I work and we all adopted him and wanted to get him a house to call his own. So far he loves it.
