They supply extra clips which i have used on one donkey in particular. There is always one that defies the norm LOL

This collar can naturally repel flies from the head and body of the horse. The fragrances included in the collar migrate and spread on the surface of the whole body.

Will this break if he gets caught on something?

The pins are designed to break away. The horse collar is intended to be worn securely during everyday activity. While it does not feature an explicit breakaway safety instrument like some halters or collars, it is made from lithe plant based materials that are more forgiving than traditional plastics. In case of light snagging, the collar may stretch or dislodge. Though, if substantial force is applied (so like if the horse is firmly caught on a fixed object), the collar is not guaranteed to break away completely. We always recommend that the collar be used under supervision, when possible, especially in environments with fencing, brush, or other potential snag points.

Unfortunately useless

This was a great idea and would have been wonderful if it had worked. We live in FL, maybe the bugs are just worse here but the collar was completely ineffective

This was a great idea and would have been wonderful if it had worked. We live in FL, maybe the bugs are just worse here but the collar was completely ineffective. On trail rides my horse’s face and neck were still attacked by mosquitoes, flies and deer flies. He was in a stall for two weeks due to an injury and the collar was not effective there either. Sadly was a waste of money.

Smells good but not sure it worked

This was too small to fit on my draft cross horse’s neck properly; he didn’t keep it on. It fit on the OTTB but he didn’t keep it on. Smell of of box was pleasant

More Natural Fly repellent

We first bought them last year and liked them, so we bought more this year. They keep the flys from totally covering the horses head and eyes. They may also help

They may also help with keeping flys off their body but the do work for around their eyes and head. We bought 3 for our 3 minature horses and 1 for our minature donkey. They hate fly spray but don't seem to mind the collar.

Ehh..

Smell is nice, comfortable fit. Watched a biting fly land right next to it on my ride. Didn’t seem to help with deer fly. We don’t have many stable flies so i can’t

Smell is nice, comfortable fit. Watched a biting fly land right next to it on my ride. Didn’t seem to help with deer fly. We don’t have many stable flies so i can’t say much about that. Still open on mosquito and no see ums/biting midges. I’ll return if review changes. Stays on. I’d buy again but only tge 2 worst months out of the year when they can’t wear fly sheets due to humidity/full body sweats

It keeps the little black woods gnats away better than I thought

We ride in a preserve so the amount of species is vast! This band helps tremendously with the little gnats around their nostrils and eyes and they wear fly masks

Doesn't stay fastened

Although the jury's out on whether it's truly effective keeping flies and gnats at bay, it was disappointing to have the plastic "snaps" release the 2nd day. I

Although the jury's out on whether it's truly effective keeping flies and gnats at bay, it was disappointing to have the plastic "snaps" release the 2nd day. I have since threaded some breakaway material through the holes and it has been staying connected. They really need to come up with a better solution for connecting the collar.

Easy to put on but not very effective fighting flies

The product is well packaged and easy to put on my horse. It did not seem to work hardly at all keeping flies off of my horses. I have 4 horses and tried the product
