First, brush animal to remove dirt and dust. Moisten (but do not wet to the point of dripping) a soft cloth and rub over the hair. It is best to apply by rubbing against hair growth. Give special attention to legs, shoulders, shanks, neck and facial areas where flies are most often seen. After application, brush out thoroughly to bring out bright sheen on the coat. Repeat daily as needed.
We are currently in the middle of the season where horses are frequently covered in a thick layer of flies and they practically ignore most types of fly spray. The stuff we use for lesson horses might as well be water. The flies are gone for 3 seconds then come right back. I douse my mare in this stuff and she’s usually the only one not being swarmed. The flies don’t touch her once I put her back in her pasture, either. By the next day they’re back just as bad as on the horses who aren’t fly sprayed at all but due to the current climate that’s about as much as I can reasonably ask for. It doesn’t seem very effective against ticks but that one might me on my mare for her tendency to stand in the tallest vegetation she can find.
This really does the job. I was looking for something that kills gnats being they are making small wounds on my horse worse. Unfortunately right after I bought my second bottle both my horses had a reaction to it. Now I’m only using it very sparingly by the wounds and no where else.
Best fly spray we’ve found for our horses, dogs, and goats. Best to find it at a feed store though because boxing and shipping methods allowed the bottle to lie on its side and about 1/4 of the spray leaked out.
It works. What can I say. I’ve tried all the “natural” ones and probably every brand available. The flies don’t dare to come near Pyranha. Smells good, too.
I use this fly spray everyday and was so happy to find out I could add it to auto ship and never run out!! Another great item for me! Thanks Chewy :-)
I've used this for years but had to change due to rising prices. Chewy has the best price I've found in months. With their fast shipping, very happy! happy!
Awesome product! But the bottle leaked due to top not on tight . Only got about half a bottle and a wet box
This is the best fly spray we can find for the flies. They have been bad this year. Glad I could find this here and at a cheaper price. Super fast delivery also. Bottle needs to be tightened before shipping. Both leaked in the bags they came in. Subscribed so I hopefully I never run out.
I have used the green bottle before and never had an issue, but this is all they had this time so I tried it out. Sprayed my mare with it last night, came out this morning and she is covered in reaction bumps. These are nearly a foot long and all over her, in every spot that I sprayed. I didn't lather her in the spray, just did it how I always do and followed bottle directions. I know my horse is an individual and not all horses will react this way, but it should be known that some ingredient or several in the bottle can do this.
This is my go-to fly spray. Really, it's the only fly spray I've found that works. Would've left a 5 star review had half of one of the bottles I ordered not leaked all over the box, leaving me with 1 1/2 bottles, rather than 2 and a greasy, messy bag of dog food. My opinion, the bottles shouldn't be shipped with the sprayer attached.
