As for quality control, every bag of American Journey dry dog food is subject to high standards of quality testing. This testing includes the following: Inbound Raw Material Testing, Moisture Checks, Kibble Size Checks, Full Nutritional Analysis, Bag Seal, Checks, Metal Detection, Foreign Material Checks, Microbial Testing, Density, Color/Appearance Checks and Bag Weight Checks.

We have a Dalmatian. Is this food low in purine?

American Journey Dog Food is not currently being tested for purines. However, some foods that are high in purines include Animal Organs, Tuna, Yeast, and Salmon. As always, please consult your veterinarian for specific questions regarding what food is best for your animal.

I like the ingredients and my doodle always eats it right up. His bms are normal and well formed when on it. Good food as far as I can tell. I also noticed less

Bugs inside bag of food

We have been getting this food for a long time through Chewy and never had a problem until this last shipment. There was bugs/worms all throughout the bag of dog

Made my dog sick

Didn't catch other reviews with same complaints. Myself and my sister put our dogs on this food. 4 out of 6 dogs had violent diarrhea and vomiting requiring 3 dogs

Do not recommend and Chewy told us to donate food...like I'd get a shelter dog violently ill. Very disappointed.
