Feeding Instructions
Adult: Feed 1 1/4 cans per 15 lbs of body weight per day.
Feed according to the age, size and activity of your dog. Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Always provide plenty of fresh water. These recommendations are guidelines only, and should be adjusted according to or based upon your dog's health, body condition, life stage, sex, activity and climatic temperature.
Transition Instructions
Gradually transition by adding a small amount of American Journey to your dog's current diet, reducing the amount of the current diet and increasing the amount of American Journey for 7 - 10 days until the transition is complete. For sensitive dogs, we recommend a 10 - 14 day transition.

What's up with all the grain-free foods recently? Grain-free doesn't agree with either of my dogs, so we got this kind. I thought this is the kind I've previously ordered but ... my dogs don't like it all of a sudden! They must've reformulated within the last year or so. Disappointing :/
Quality changed
Been buying it for at least a year to mix in with dogs dry food. I have 1 picky eater and it's not fair to give it to just him, so they all get some. It used to be very firm and reminded me of corned beef has from a can. It is now very soupy and goupy like they are now adding more water to cut down on costs. I don't mind paying for quality dog food but I am not owning for a lot of water. I can add that at home. I have purchased my last case
Too many dents
My 4 like wet food as a topper. My seniors need to eat only wet on occasion. I was buying the turkey & veggie case of American Journey it was perfect for them all. I saw they offered a variety case & thought that's pretty cool & they can have a variety. I've never seen so many dented cans. The beef product seems to have a film on the bottom of the cans which is nasty to see. I've ordered this more than once to see there was improvement. Sad to say no. I just took this item off of my autoship. Chewy is not responsible for the condition of the cans or the film inside, but, hopeful American Journey can see this and look into both issues.

My dogs won't eat this food. They can be picky eaters but usually eat when they get hungry. They leave it in the bowl.

Quality has declined significantly
I have been buying this food for my dogs the last few years and they have loved it but in the past two months the quality of this food has declined. It used to have a firm “loaf” texture to it as the label says, but recently it’s more of a pate texture as another person said. I would call it a soupy mess that has effected the health of my dog’s stool. I will not be buying this product anymore and will be asking for a refund from Chewy. Do not recommend this purchase.

The chicken is too soft and liquid. The dogs liked the beef.
This is a pate, Not a Loaf
In recent months this product has changed from a loaf to a pate. It gives the impression that American Journey is adding more water making the product more like soupy mashed potatoes rather than a loaf. I have the impression that this is some trickery by the manufacturer to cut costs. Hopefully, American Journey reads these reviews and looks into this issue.
