What is the difference between a 7 blade and 7F blade?

A 7F blade will make a fuller cut. The difference is the 7F blade will give you a short, textured look and the 7 blade will give you a close, smooth look.

Sharp and smooth

The Andis blade works great on my Wheaten Terrier and Poodle mix dogs. It's important to start with a clean and tangle-free dog so the blade can glide right through

This is the second Andis blade I’ve purchased (one from another store and one from Chewy) and both were dull when I received them. I was trying to replace my old Andis blade because I noticed it wasn’t giving as smooth a cut (it’s always gone through my dog’s fur like butter). I’ve taken good care of it and it’s lasted years. My old blade cuts better than the brand new one. I even purchased a Wahl thinking maybe Andis quality had gone down, but it was dull too. I have a variety of sizes (lengths) of older blades of both brands and they’re all sharper than these brand new ones. What’s going on? Are there any good blades out there anymore? For now I’m still using my old blades.

Better

I have 2 porties and their coat is hard to get through with good clippers. I ordered the skip tooth design cutters (3 3/4) and it works better than normal ones

I have 2 porties and their coat is hard to get through with good clippers. I ordered the skip tooth design cutters (3 3/4) and it works better than normal ones. It does still get hung up if you push it too hard or wait too long to trim, but it is an improvement that saves time and the dogs tolerate it better.

This skip tooth clipper head didn't do as good a job as my number 5 skip tooth.

I bought this number 7 skip tooth to help me trim my Bouvier des Flanders, who I admit needed a bath and brush out, but ge needed shorter hair as it is summer time

I bought this number 7 skip tooth to help me trim my Bouvier des Flanders, who I admit needed a bath and brush out, but ge needed shorter hair as it is summer time in Miami where we live and he normally has shorter hair year round. In the winter, I use a number 10 blade as that still leaves some hair, but I don't touch the head or face trimming only lightly with a siccors.

Love using the skip tooth blade on my miniature schnauzer. Leaves a very natural look to his salt and pepper coat.
