From Animalbiome: Directions for Use The S. boulardii + FOS contains a clear scoop. Use the scoop to measure out the suggested amount of powder, according to the dosing chart. Then, mix the powder into your pet’s food at mealtime. Use within 60 days of opening. Keep refrigerated after opening. Recommended Daily Amount for Advanced Support: Up to 10 = 1 scoop 11 - 20 = 1 ½ scoops 21 - 35 = 2 scoops 36 - 50 = 3 scoops 51 - 70 = 4 scoops 71+ = 5 scoops (1 tsp) Recommended Daily Amount for Maintenance Up to 10 = ½ scoop 11 - 20 = ¾ scoop 21 - 35 = 1 scoop 36 - 50 = 1 ½ scoops 51 - 70 = 2 scoops 71+ = 2 ½ scoops (½ tsp) Caution: In rare cases, this product can cause diarrhea (or worsened diarrhea). Discontinue use if severe side effects occur. As with all supplements, consult with your veterinarian before use, especially if your pet has a health condition."

Should this be given only at one mealtime or can the daily dose be divided into my dogs 2 meals?

For best efficacy, we recommend dividing the daily dose of S. boulardii + FOS powder between meals rather than administering it all at once. The yeast strain Saccharomyces boulardii is considered a transient organism, meaning it does not permanently colonize the gut but instead exerts its beneficial effects as it passes through the gastrointestinal tract. By dosing twice daily, you help ensure more consistent support throughout the day, rather than concentrating its effects into a shorter window of time. This approach can maximize the supplement’s ability to promote healthy stool consistency, reduce harmful bacterial overgrowth, and support overall gut balance.

Made my cat intensely ill

I bought this based on the creator’s comments about what cats really need in a prebiotic/probiotic. Within an hour after my cat being given a half of a tiny scoop,

I bought this based on the creator’s comments about what cats really need in a prebiotic/probiotic. Within an hour after my cat being given a half of a tiny scoop, he was hiding under the bed. About 3 hours later, he proceeded to vomit his dinner. He continued to throw up for the next 30 minutes and then had explosive diarrhea. I don’t know if it was bad or if my cat is intolerant. $50 down the drain. I was up all night with him making sure he was ok. He is eating this morning, but still not himself.

I bought this as a last resort but unfortunately she's still throwing up a few times a week. I guess I just have to stock up on cleaners and rubber gloves.

Good product But!!

It’s very expensive very small even the 80 G he’s a bigger dog 56 pounds. I don’t feel it did a whole lot perhaps it would work better for other dogs. I found another product with the same ingredients that is a little bit more affordable and a larger amount.. I was hoping for better results so it was a little disappointing for the price

This probiotic powder comes in a pretty small jar and it has a tiny little scooper inside for measuring out the powder. The powder is extremely fine. It does come fully sealed inside the cap, so the product is not getting any air. There is a small chart that explains how much to measure out for your dog according to their weight. My dog is small so she only required 1 scoop full once a day. Once you open this you do need to store it in the fridge so they good bacteria stay alive. I was glad to see you do not need a lot of powder but my dog in super picky. I tried so many times to get her to eat this mixed in with her canned food but she simply would not eat it for me. All things considered the product seems good and fresh. I wish my dog had given it a chance.

We located this product after Percy’s vet suggested that he needed something to help his gut function. While we use similar products are humans, we followed our vet’s guidance and I’m so glad we did. As a Shepard, prone to gut issues, especially after a round of antibiotics, I’m so glad we tried and now regularly use this product. It took awhile.. weeks for Percy.. but he now has regular bowel movements, less gas and seems happier (or may I’m just happier he is healthier! Please be patient. It took while but patience sure paid off for us.

I received this probiotic powder at an opportune time since my dog was on a course of antibiotics for a skin issue. She required 4 provided scoops for her weight

I received this probiotic powder at an opportune time since my dog was on a course of antibiotics for a skin issue. She required 4 provided scoops for her weight of 60lb. Easy to sprinkle on food - has a pleasant smell and tastes mildly sweet. She experienced no problems eating it and it definitely prevented her from having any digestive problems and no diarrhea despite being on the prescribed antibiotic for 3 weeks. For her weight I would recommend purchasing the larger size. The product consists has no ’extra’ or added ingredients-just one probiotic and a prebiotic- clean, simple and effective. 4 stars only because it is quite expensive

He lost weight, started loosing fur.. once we did animal biome test and received results (be prepared it takes 3 weeks) we started this probiotic and things slowly moved into the right direction
