The Brewer's Yeast is not spent (after use in a fermenting process, such as beer or wine), but rather a nutritional Brewer’s Yeast.

The dosage is based off of the weight of your pet. If you don't know their weight, start it off with a dosage of ½ teaspoon daily dose.

I feed this to all of mine, they eat it right up. I initially only bought it for my older mare who suffers from FFWS/IBS but feeding her 2 scoops of this (large side) a day along with adding soaked Forage Only and Alfalfa/Timothy cubes she seems to be doing very well even with switching between pasture, square bales and round bales.

So far, do good!

We use this to supplement our 20 year old cat & help to repel fleas on our dogs. The quantity required seems like it would be a turn off for our pets but they don’t

We use this to supplement our 20 year old cat & help to repel fleas on our dogs. The quantity required seems like it would be a turn off for our pets but they don’t seem to mind. Our 14 yr old Sheltie is a picky eater but he has been cleaning his bowl better since we added this to the menu.

Works great for homemade duck feed

I mix this in with my layer chicken feed to make a duck feed and it works amazing. Much cheaper than buying duck feed from the store.

Aug 2024 I'm happy with my purchase. The lid was easy to get open. The product seems to be a good consistency: not powder but not granular either. I don't normally taste what my horse eats, but I was curious and tried a tiny bit of this brewer's yeast. It tasted quite good, to be honest. We're starting my horse out with 1 small scoop per day, and plan to ramp up to at least 3 large scoops per day because he has chronic sweet itch with hair loss. Hoping the brewer's yeast can help. I was very happy with the price at Chewy, and the auto ordering for future.

I've been buying AniMed Brewers Yeast for 5 years and it is now in powder form instead of the fine granules and it does not smell or taste like brewers yeast. It

I've been buying AniMed Brewers Yeast for 5 years and it is now in powder form instead of the fine granules and it does not smell or taste like brewers yeast. It smelled like beer and was crunchy, and my mini donkeys loved it. I used it to coat their hoof supplements to get them to eat it. It seems to me that even if they ground the granules up they would still smell and taste the same, so I wondered if it was a different product? I sent AniMed a querry about it but didn't receive an answer. If you are looking for the Brewers Yeast that smells like beer, you will not be happy with this product.
