I've used Via Calm for a long time. I adopted a purebred Arabian gelding who was a stallion for 7 years. He has a sweet personality but a tendency to be over-reactive. Via Calm doesn't dope him up; it just takes the edge off so I can really work with him. He's come a long way! Have used it on my mare too. Just mix a small scoop with grain; they eat it right up.
I especially rely on Via Calm every Fourth of July, because there are neighbors who set off M100s, Bottle Rockets, etc. Via Calm helps my poor horses get through it.
Tried it and liked it

I didn’t have high hopes for this. I have a 19 year old trotter new to riding that just started training a few months ago. He had been pretty scared of his new world under saddle and truthfully, I was thinking it was too much for him. I saw a post about this on Facebook and tried it. I started it with 1 tablespoon for a week and then went to 2. It took about 2 weeks to kick in. He is now figuring out life with a calm mind and is progressing amazingly well. He has a wonderful trainer that deserves much credit as well. I whole heartedly recommend this.

I have used this product for years on different horses. I increase the dose as needed even if I go over what is recommended for one or two days. I purchase calmer for $25 for one dose. We tend to think the higher the price the better it much work. Well this stuff is the ultimate deal for the price. I actually just order two more tubs. Planning on trying it daily for a new horse I just got. But I used it for stressful times. One of my horses are scared to death of fireworks even if they are far away. So I give enough to keep her calm in her stall.
Just didn’t work

Tried for 5 week, didn’t help much at all. If anything my horse seems hotter & more irritable.
Best product I have tried to calm my horse

My horse had been taking all sorts of calming herbs and supplements for about three years. After being hurt by his spooking, I had my vet come check him out. He clearly was not benefiting from what I was using. I researched ViaCalm and have since been using it. What a change in his nervous reactions to nothing. I am very happy with this product

Great product seems to be working well for my horse
works when other things fail

I have tried every expensive highly acclaimed calming supplement out there over the past 10 years with my anxious and reactive mare. Some have made her worse , some have not helped at all. For some reason, ViaCalm has made a difference. I can see it if we run out. I can see it when I start it back up. She is who she is but this helps and gives her and me both better quality of life.
Just try it

I'm a scientist, and can be a bit of a skeptic over supplement companies making bold, sweeping claims about the efficacy of their product(s) (and likewise, the average consumer). That said, ViaCalm may have made me a believer- in about a week or so of starting it, I appear to have a calmer horse with less edge & noise sensitivity. Is it a miracle product? Probably not, but it's very affordable & this horse is the perfect test model- he is definitely calmer with less hypersensitivity to noises etc.
A nice calming supplement

Gave this to my horse a few times before a trail ride, really calmed him down. He can be very aggitated and jumpy and this helped take the edge off. It helps just calm him down a bit- like us having a glass of wine or two.
Works on my big Warmblood!

I have to say I really wasn't expecting this to work with my anxious warmblood gelding but I have been pleasantly surprised. My big guy has become more anxious as he has gotten older and his vision has deteriorated from an eye injury several years ago. This product just seems to take the edge off and does seem to relax and calm him. It took several weeks for me to really notice a difference but I am impressed with the results!
