How long does the bottle last

The supplement will vary based on your horses weight. Horses of all classes and ages 1 - 2 tablespoons per 1000 lbs body weight daily. Or 2 - 4 tablespoons to 1 hour prior to an event which may create excitement or stress. The large end of the enclosed scoop measures 1 tablespoon (approx. 1/2 oz). Or as recommended by a veterinarian.

My wee, senior donkey, Elizabeth, has anxiety issues during farrier and vet visits. I try to give her natural supplements rather than the synthetics that are too harsh on her system. Often it was a fight to get the prescribed sedation product into her mouth, which had a negative impact on our relationship. Via-Calm is easily added to her beet pulp mash as needed, and she doesn't mind it being there. It doesn't make her dopey, it evens her out to be more cooperative while having her hooves trimmed or the vet examination process.

We stated with a high “loading” dose over a couple weeks, and have slowly reduced down to the lowest dose with the same results. Really happy with it.

Awesome product

I have a Palamino TWH rescue that was severely beaten by her owner. She trusts no one, except me now, and is a very timid and nervous horse. I give her a scoop twice

I have a Palamino TWH rescue that was severely beaten by her owner. She trusts no one, except me now, and is a very timid and nervous horse. I give her a scoop twice a day with her grain, and it does help a great deal in calming her down. It's the best in price, too. I have to be careful because she has fecal wet syndrome, and it does not affect her symptoms at all. I've been using it for almost a year, and if I miss a day, I can see she's a bit edgy compared to when not given. Now it'a no cure, but it does work.
