Is a vet prescription needed for this dog food
Answer by ttflutegal • Oct 21, 2022
You do not need a prescription to purchase this dog food.
Where are the ingredients sourced from? Are all ingredients from the US? Thank you.
Answer by • Jan 19, 2018
Annamaet sources most of their high-quality ingredients within the United States depending on availability. Some of the vitamins are produced in Europe. Vitamin C is from England, Biotin from France, and L-carnitine from the Czech Republic as none of these are produced in the US. The salmon is from Alaska and the herring is Canadian.
What is the benefit of miscanthus grass??
Answer by • Aug 10, 2020
Miscanthus has several benefits; is easy to grow and to process compared to other fiber supplements in pet food. It is natural, non-GMO, grain free, and gluten free. It is grown and processed in the U.S. and it does not contain sugars that can be found in typical pet food fiber such as such as tomato pomace, rice bran, and pea fiber thus making it a better option for a weight management formula.
Can you tell me the kibble size? I have a senior toy breed who cannot chew very well.
Answer by • Jul 13, 2018
All of Annamaet's kibble comes in one size, a bite sized kibble which is about the size of a large pea. We have had customer reports of adding water or broth to moisten dry kibble, for pets who have difficulty chewing dry kibble.
Honestly, we haven't tried this food for very long! (maybe a week or two ) I have 3 dogs - One - Hound - (LOVES IT) and I've noticed a good difference in her hair! Two - Fox TerrOR - (IFFY need to mix with something else - which isn't ideal because he looks like a potbelly piggy :-) and NORMALLY eats everything. Third - Boston - My old man won't touch it :-( He is the main reason I purchased it. Needs low-fat diet etc for belly issues. In my opinion, the kibble doesn't have the annoying odor that most kibbles do! We will finish out the two bags and see how it goes.

Four paws up!
My Aussie Oliver loves this food. I was concerned that he’d notice the lesser fat content. Nope. He snarfs it right up. He looks a little leaner. The Big difference is his coat and his energy. I have a female Aussie who didn’t need to lose weight, but she loves this formula too and her coat looks amazing after munching through 1 large bag of this—super shiny. It does smell very good. Highly recommend!

My dogs hyperpigmentation went away
My dog was on Royal Canin for years. Due to her sensitive GI tract, low fat dog food was the only thing helping but she always had too much yeast on her skin and extreme itchiness and I never knew why. Someone suggested I change her food. Once i switched her food her skin cleared and I'm never going back.

He likes it!!!
I have fed my dog Primal frozen raw beef patties for his whole life. After reading about veterinarian concern with risk of bacterial contamination from raw food, I decided to make a switch. I have a Golden Retriever who loves to eat, so have to work to keep him at a healthy weight. A veterinary nutritionist recommended Annamaet as a high quality, nutritionally complete food and suggested the “Lean” option so the dog can have larger portions, since he loves to eat so much. I wasn’t sure how well this dry kibble would be accepted, but from the very first bowl, he likes it! So we’re relatively new at using this food, but so far it seems like a really good choice.

Great Food for keeping your dogs trim
I started using this after my 4 year old Toy Fox Terrier had pancreatitis. She has no problem eating anything so it was no problem transitioning her. It allows me to give other healthy treats through out the week with out worrying about the fat content. She has tremendous energy from this food. It's a keeper
