Is the salmon meal from wild caught salmon? Where is the salmon sourced?
Answer by • Feb 24, 2018
Whenever wild-caught salmon is available, it is sourced for this diet. When not available, farm-raised Salmon from the Pacific Northwest is used to ensure the recipe is still available for the members of our furry families.
what is the shelf life on this food?
Answer by • May 14, 2020
An unopened bag of food will last until the expiration date stamped on the bag. Ideally, dry food and treats should be consumed within 6-8 weeks of opening the bag. Exposure to air, light, hot temperatures and humidity speeds up the rate at which foods degrade. To limit these effects, keep dry foods in their original packaging and store in a cool, dry location.
Do you test for purines?
Answer by • Oct 03, 2018
Annamaet doesn't test for the exact amount of Purine, since it's a natural substance found in some foods. However, the Annamaet Adult 23% Dry Dog Food would be considered low in purine.
What is the calcium and phosphorus levels in this formula?
Answer by • Oct 03, 2018
This formula has a Calcium content of 1.13% and Phosphorus content of 0.96%.
Our picky eating cavalier switched from Fromm's to Annamaet Salcha and loves it. Eats it all every time we put it out.

This food was poisoning my dogs
I fed this to my lab for years and WAS a great food. Recently I adopted another lab and started feeding it to her and moved my other lab to the rejuvenate. Both of their hair began falling out and my older lab became lethargic and was having many other issues to the point we were going to put her down. As a last resort we changed both of their foods. Both coats came back to the original black shine and my older lab is running around again. I highly recommend not feeding this food to your pets. It was a great food but something changed.

The cat likes it too
I alternate this with other flavors and the brand with Merrick, a very good product also. I feed my Pomeranian a raw diet of chicken and Stella and Chewy Lil Bites and I leave out kibble as an anytime snack. The cat started nibbling in the dish. I had to put out 2 dishes of it now so they could enjoy at the same time.

High Quality Food
My 18 month old Basset loves it. I combine it 50/50 with Aqualuk, which is fish based. Her coat is super shiny and gets commented on frequently. This is an excellent brand, one I’ve used for many years with prior Bassets. I trust their science. It is expensive but worth the investment in my dog’s health and well-being.

Good grain free option
My breeder recommended this and it helps prevent ear infections in my doodle but she doesn’t love it. Still searching for one my picky eater likes

Wish I found this product sooner!
Our girl has always been a very finicky eater. I have always given her high quality dry food along with the chicken & vegetables that I cook for her. She has never really liked the dry BUT if hungry that would be the last item she would eat. The brand I have been using/purchasing from Chewy for several years has suddenly become unavailable. Our breeder suggested trying Annamaet. It is now the very first thing our girl eats when she goes over to her bowls. It must taste delicious!!! It is worth the slightly higher price b/c I am no longer tossing the uneaten chow into the trash!

My finicky Huskies and Shepherd LOVE this food. They eat less, so my yard isn't like a Mine field! I'm changing my 3 Cats to Annamaet Feline. Our litter boxes will thank us!!
