Description

Measure and modify pH levels with the all-in-one API pH Aquarium Test & Adjuster Kit. Fish waste, plant refuse and uneaten food can change pH levels and create unhealthy water conditions. The kit tests the pH of freshwater within a 6.0 to 7.6 range and adjusts the levels as needed. It comes with three 1.25 ounce bottles of pH Up, pH Down and pH Indicator solutions and a pH results color card. Just fill a test tube with water, add the test solution and compare the results to the pH color card. Follow the recommendations, and use either the pH Up or pH Down solution to adjust levels. Test weekly to ensure optimal water quality.

Instructions
  1. Fill a clean test tube with 5 ml of water to be tested (to the line on the tube).
  2. Add 3 drops of pH Test Solution, holding dropper bottle upside down in a completely vertical position to assure uniformity of drops.
  3. Cap the test tube and invert tube several times to mix solution.
  4. Read the test results by comparing the color of the solution to the pH Color Card. The tube should be viewed in a well-lit area against the white area of the card. The closest match indicates the pH of the water sample. Rinse the test tube with clean water after use.

    Quick & Easy

By Myles on Apr 8, 2021

I was impressed with how simple and quick it was to test the water. The card was easy to compare and match. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better test kit to use, as a beginner. As an added bonus, I tested my tap/well water and was surprised at the results. Everything tested neutral! I'm pretty tempted to start testing different water sources and possibly include this kit in a science project for my child's homeschooling. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody looking to test some water.

I'm sorry to say my Betta (Rufus) died the day before I received this kit. No more fish for me. I'm sad.

    Makes testing and adjusting simple!

    By JnS2011 on Mar 15, 2017

I am very happy with this product simply because of its sheer convenience! I needed to test my pH and I assumed I would likely need to adjust it to match the desired pH I was looking for, so having the pH Up and pH Down included in this kit made it extremely easy to make the decision to buy this product. I was originally going to go with testing strips, since that is what I am more accustomed to using, however, I couldn't ignore the fact that I was getting so many tests from these drops as opposed to a number of strips that are usually included in the other kits. The testing itself is super easy and is completed within seconds - no hassles. Overall, definitely a product that is worth I am very happy with this product simply because of its sheer convenience!
