I'm glad I bought this for my cats, they love it. Instead of me having to give them our tuna for a treat, I can feel more confident now that they will be getting more nutrition from this "cat" tuna.
Tried another human grade food and he was not impressed, HOWEVER loved Applaws from the first day.
My often picky kitty is eating this every day. Her sister (less picky...but still a cat) loves it. Smaller cats, so 1 can shared each morning is perfect in addition to their dry food. I will be ordering more.
Can't get my cat to eat the hydrolyzed canned food. He loves this and doesn't throw it up.
Although the tuna in these cans is from Thailand, I was impressed with the quality of it. It's the closest thing to human grade tuna I have found thus far. It's good sized slices of tuna in a sauce, and my cat absolutely loves it. It's marked as a topper, which is how I have been using it--I put it over my cat's weight loss chicken wet food that he's not crazy about.
It's sold as a food topper. Why is a food topper the most expensive case of food compared to actual food brands? They also seem to be filling it more with rice now. And I found a roughly 1 inch piece of black plastic netting in one of the cans that I am very grateful to have found before my cat did. Now I check closer until I can find an alternative. The quality is going down and it's not even a complete food anyway and it isn't worth the hefty price. I have to call the company about the plastic. Be careful and check closely because quality control is going down on this brand. And it's not an actual food, just a topper.
My cat absolutely loves this, but I am only giving it one star because the label is misleading. It is only a food TOPPER and NOT A COMPLETE CAT FOOD. The can says cat food. If you don’t read the detailed description you would have no idea that it lacks nutritional value as a food. Thank God I feed different foods at each meal and she didn’t eat this exclusively. Even so, I still feel awful for feeding her this as a meal and reading the reviews, I’m clearly not the only one making this mistake.
Our cats love Applaws, especially this Tuna Fillet!
My cat can’t eat chicken or beef without dire consequences and you wouldn’t believe how many tuna cat foods contain chicken! This food is just 3 ingredients: tuna, broth and rice. My cat has thrived since he’s been on this food: regained the weight he lost and his coat has recovered as well. It looks like human grade tuna.
My cats love this; can't seem to get enough, LOL.
