Gradually transition your pet to any new food over the course of 7-14 days to help avoid the digestive upset that abrupt changes in diet can cause. If your pet tends to be on the sensitive side, it may be best to take a little extra time. 1. Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days. 2. Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days. 3. Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days. 4. Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

Normally this would be a five star but they changed the fish/formula. I have been buying this product in three different tuna flavors and cases of it for years now. My cats loved it and the last time I ordered they “would not eat it” all three of them would not eat it! And when I took a can from an older case they gobbled it right up. Something changed. I think they are using other fishes than tuna now. (I say this because they never liked the white fish but did use to love the tuna). So sad because this was my go to. Please please please change the formula back!
So my 3 cats love this food but specifically this flavor & the plain tuna. They hate the chicken idk why and have tried so many times lol. I keep trying to switch them off this food, but they protest. The side of the can does specify for intermittent feeding. So make sure it’s not the only food they get!
Having 3 cats who don’t always like the same food, this is a game changer. Their dishes have never been so clean.
This Applaws Shrimp is one of my cat's favorite food; however, I found very hard sharp Tuna bone in the past. Today, my cat suddenly stopped eating so I went to check the dish and found this. I mash the wet food before serving, but in somehow I didn't see this, maybe because it was a thin bone. It seems like crab bone? Not sure what it is but its very hard and extremelty sharp like a needle. It poked my finger tip right in. Can you imagine what would have happened if my cat ate this? This type of bone is very dangerous, it can be just stuck inside the cat's throat. I love Applaws wet food. I hope the company pays more attention to this :(
I give this to her as a break from the healthy brands as I think this is a bit better than some of the cat junk foods out there, but the servings are inconsistent. I mix it up before serving to check quality and often times it is very grain heavy and lacking the desired protein. Given the price point, it would be great if the brand could get the ratios right.
My cat threw up 4 times a week until I switched to Applaws. Chicken bothers him but he does well on the others. He is finally getting nutrition from his food.
My cat love this! The only food that he will eat. But the cost keeps going up making it harder to afford.
My cats go nuts for this stuff. It looks and smells like actual tuna and not the gross trash some cat foods are.
She licks the plate SO clean I can use it a second time!
My cats really liked this food. I started buying it when we could not get Fussie Cat. I have gotten the small cans package that comes with three different flavors, but there’s one of them that’s not their favorite. their second favorite is the seaweed. They eat the plain tuna one and sometimes they eat the chicken & duck one, but the shrimp is their favorite. I think the title says prawn but it is still shrimp for now. I think they may be changing over. Hopefully it won’t matter since prawn are just big shrimp right?
