I put the dimensions through a gallon calculator, and the 10 gallon tank dimensions hold about 23 gallons. Are the dimensions that of a standard 10 gallon tank (20x10.5x12)?

I really like this 10 gallon aquarium set. The best part is how quiet the filter is. At first, I thought it was cracked, but it was just stray strands of glue that needed to be scraped off. It was super easy to set up. I wish the instructions had a bit more information about cycling the tank in case beginners don't know about that. The lights are great and my fish are happy. The kit contains everything you need except substrate and decor. Of course, you want to pick your own. I also wish the feeding door were slightly larger, but it works fine.

Heater not working, can't get a replacement.

I just purchased the 20g option, and although it seems like a great idea, mind you, if one part malfunctions, they can only replace the entire kit. That being said,

I just purchased the 20g option, and although it seems like a great idea, mind you, if one part malfunctions, they can only replace the entire kit. That being said, my tank is full of substrate and plants, and is currently cycling, but the heater is not working properly. Chewy will not replace it, so now I have to spend more money on a heater since I won't dismantle my setup for the return. It may be better to purchase everything separately so you can replace/refund individual items, and perhaps choose another store with a better policy.

The tank and the lighting are awesome. The heater that comes with it works great. I am however having trouble with the filter. It cannot keep up. The tank becomes algae filled in days. The algae grows off the filter and the media even. When I scrub the tank, the filter cannot keep the water clean. I am looking to change to something with a little more power. I think the filter might not be strong enough for 10 gallons. I have never had this issue before and have been keeping fish a very long time.

everything you need! the tank itself is a simple 10 gallon (easily interchangeable if needed), but all the accessories make this kit time and cost efficient. buying

everything you need! the tank itself is a simple 10 gallon (easily interchangeable if needed), but all the accessories make this kit time and cost efficient. buying everything separately adds up fast, and this setup fits together perfectly and looks very nice. the lid has the lighting embedded in it, which makes maintenance easy. the filter is so silent i've checked to make sure it's still running; it does take up a considerable bit of space in the tank, so i would factor that into your planning, but the absolute silence is worth it, since the tank is in my bedroom. i'm impressed, and so excited for my new betta fish!

The tank comes with everything you need to get started except the decoration and gravel/soil and fish. The packing box was the easiest to open and set up. No glue

The tank comes with everything you need to get started except the decoration and gravel/soil and fish. The packing box was the easiest to open and set up. No glue stuck to the glass that needs to be scraped off like other brands Iv had. A true blessing in disguise. Has a nice feeding port on the lid. The downfall is you have to take lid off which takes off the lights so it’s hard to see into it and have to have somewhere to put the lid while you work in the tank. A hinged lid would be much better. The filter is great due to self priming at start up and if the power goes off but the slits at the bottom of the filter will suck in small fish/ long fins so gotta be careful what you put into it. I highly dislike the idea of having to buy filters every month and the space in the filter doesn’t have room for much customization. The cool thing is the filter makes water changes a breeze with the cool pump at the top you can even hook a tube up to it to redirect the water into a bucket without having to hold it next to it. My plants love fish water and I love how easily it’s done. I also love the small profile and simplicity of the heater that came with the kit. The smaller size makes it easier to hide. And the stick on thermometer makes checking the temperature fast. Great starter tank!

The good: I love the shape of this tank, it fits perfectly under my kitchen cabinets on the counter. The lid has a feed door which is convenient and there is plenty of room in the cut out for filter and heater access. The filter is SO quiet!! The max fill line also allows it to be fairly submerged so it's even quieter filled to the max. I also like that it can be attached via suction cup or a hook. The heater is nice and keeps an even temperature, It has a glow dot that lights red when it's actively heating. Room for improvement: The tubing for the filter was not in the box....so it makes the easy clean water change not so easy.... The main detractor is the glass quality. The tank arrived with 2 cracks in it right from the start, and while the tank was just sitting on the dining table for a couple days waiting to have the cracks sealed, it managed to produce 2 additional cracks. I have concerns about the longevity of the glass since it cracks so easy..

This product is really a great first time buyers one and done. It comes with an aquarium, a filter, sa heater, and a thermometer all in one nice and easy to set up package. The directions are fool proof and I was abled to put it all together so quickly! I love the light up lip with all the little areas for the cords to go, the lamp is really bright and nice. The aquarium came packed well and it was so simple to put together. The filter is so quiet, and it was again so easy to put together. Overall I’m very impressed with the quality of this set up for someone who is just getting into aquarium animals.

This has to be one of the best beginner fish tanks I have ever had. Easy to assemble, plus it comes with everything you need to get started with fish tank ( beside gravel and decorations) . This kit comes with a 10 gallon tank and is supplied with the filter system and a filter, a self adjusting thermostat, stick on thermometer and lastly one of the best features I think is the lid with built in LED lighting. This makes start up so convenient, not having to buy everything individually, there's no need to worry about not having everything you need. It’s all here!

Where was this tank and kit years ago?? This is the perfect aquarium kit and has everything you need to create the perfect home for your fish. I personally only keep a betta these days, but in the past I have had guppies, tetras, danios, mollies, and a betta sorority tank. This kit includes a sturdy glass 10 gallon aquarium with a fantastic lid (see my photos). I have had countless aquariums over the years where there were gaps in the lid, especially near the filter, and I lost a betta once due to a gap in a lid that let her jump out. This lid is perfect, and has a little feeding hole instead of having to lift up the entire lid. The kit includes a little of everything to get your aquarium going: a sample of fish food, water conditioner, a heater and thermometer (crucial for tropical fish), a large net, and Aqueon’s new SmartClean filter. I’m excited to try out this filter because it helps make water changes extremely easy instead of having to use a siphon or pitcher. Be sure to still add aquarium salt (if you choose), aquarium starter for nutrients, and let the tank cycle before adding fish, but other than that, this has everything you need, just add gravel, decor, and your fish! I seriously wish this kit was available years ago when I first started keeping pet fish since it is absolutely perfect. I’ll update the photos once I switch Blueberry (my male betta) over to this tank. Don’t forget: bettas do best in a minimum of 5 gallons, so this 10 gallon is great for them too!
