Help support your dog’s gum health and stop plaque and tartar before they start with Ark Naturals Protection+ Brushless Toothpaste 5-in-1 Dental Chews Dog Treats! These innovative chews are powered by astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant found in nature. This ingredient stops plaque and tartar before they can even begin boosting the antibody, immunoglobulin A (lgA) in the saliva, therefore creating a protective barrier on your buddy’s teeth. The 5-in-1 dental chews are formulated with a toothpaste center with active ingredients, along with natural breath fresheners including clove, cinnamon and vanilla.

For dogs 12 weeks and older. For best results, we recommend a full astaxanthin dosage of 2 chewables per day, just like brushing your teeth. For even longer lasting effectiveness, try combining this with Brushless Plaque-Zapper.
I've noticed a lot of the reviews are talking about bad breath and my little girl's breath is fine. I tried these because I've found it impossible to brush her teeth. Literally impossible, and the vet is insistent. So we're trying this. She loves them. . .but she loves anything. I'm hesitant about the price, but if they work it'll be worth it. We just went through ten extractions and I about fainted at the cost of that. She's tiny but I don't understand the people advising us to cut them in small pieces. Seems like the whole idea is to chew on as much of the toothpaste as possible.
I have been using Ark Natural Brushless Toothpaste for 4+ years. they have reduced required dental cleanings immensely. I LOVE THESE newer 5-in-1 protection sticks. I use this size for my 11lb Shichon. He loves them (as do all 6 of my dogs-various sizes to 100lbs). I do cut this in 1/2 for him and that seems to be just the right size. The mini size is ok- however I think it helps for him to chew more than 2x and this size (cut in half) is just right for him.
He loves these and they really help his teeth & breath
I like Ark Naturals so was happy to try these out. I've been using their similar green dental treats for many years. Both of my dogs like these but they do cause a touch of loose stool for one of them and while thy must smell good to the dogs, I don't care for the smell. Thankfully you only smell them when you open the bag and not while the dog is chewing. While I like the 5-in-1 idea, I'm not sure I will buy these often because they don't 100% agree with one of my dogs, they can't easily be broken to try feeding a smaller piece and there are so many other dental options on the market.
I wanted to give this 5 Stars at first but the dental chew causes major health issues for my pomeranian. At first, I didn't think anything of the red colored poop because my dog was eating the dental chews. Yesterday, my dog vomited 3 times and the vomit had blood in it. He also pooped multiple times yesterday and it was a bloody mess. Today, after a $500 bill with tests and medications, my pomeranian has been diagnosed with Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis, but got the all clear for pancreatitis. His vet gave him antibiotics and fluids and sent us home lots of meds for his GI. Thankfully we caught it early and got into his vet early.
My Fritz really likes these. But - just having had 9 teeth extracted, he cannot chew the whole treat at once. Therefore, I have to cut the medium treats in slices. I don't mind doing this for him but the company should consider much smaller pieces.
My two senior dogs like this product very much. It gives them an opportunity to chew something that doesn't seem to be too difficult to chew or digest. The smaller size they just swallowed so this fits the need for a dental chew. It helps their breath as well.
These treats smell so odd and stick to one another. I would like to think they help my dog's teeth but I'm not sure if they really do.
I have a very picky Chi-Poo and he LOVES these. They have the added bonus of cleaning the teeth. I use these in combination with actual tooth brushing, but these are a great option between brushings (I try to brush about 3X a week).
My two year-old Maltese does not usually like treats and is so picky with his food. He loves these!! I give him a few before bedtime and his Vet noticed a major improvement in his teeth. They are pearly white. I will continue to purchase! If your dog will not let you brush his teeth, these are a necessity! I highly recommend.
