My 2yo 45lbs poodle is a chewer with a sensitive stomach. I used to buy her the regular, softer version but she gulped them down in one minute and would poop them out whole. I am glad I found these but I cant find them in medium size so had to buy the large. THEY ARE HUGE. I have to cut them in half and give her one half at a time. They do last longer than the softer version though. She finishes it in about 5 minutes. I started following another reviewers tip mentioning freezing them. This definitely helps. It takes her maybe 8-10 minutes. She loves these, too. Always excited when I give her one before bedtime every night. And it doesnt upset her stomach like other products Ive tried. Ive noticed her fresher breath and the plaque is slowly reducing.
Beau is a 134lb St. Bernard who is not a big chewer. After a recent dental cleaning, we've been looking for additional ways to keep those pearly whites clean. We ordered these, paying an awful lot for only 3 treats (approx $8 each), but I was impressed by the size. Again, Beau is not a big chewer, but these only lasted him only 6 minutes. Also, it has upset his digestive tract and he continues to poop pieces of it out 6 days later.
Freeze them and give frozen and they last 5 times longer and can be used for 2 or 3 times per stick. Give frozen let dog chew like 1/2 then refreeze
