Nice and Strong
This is the 4th and seemingly final purchase/$earch for cat tents. I have tried others and they all fail in similar ways. Very cheap materials is usually the culprit.Not here!!! The material used in all of the construction is QUALITY. The zippers,a very important and often overlooked most used item,is here a strong, course tooth properly sewn zipper. Thank you! The screening is like a thick mesh with honey comb openings which not only gives view but adds strength.The top is also screened.The top and bottom zip out so all things can be easily cleaned.Thank you again!!I will buy two more for my other feline babies.Why 4 instead of 5 stars? Not for lack of quality or design, rather because my cats like to drop low to watch squirrels and shake their cute little fannies.Here the screen does not go down quite low enough for squirrels and bugs and birds and all things to be easily viewed.That would be awesome if they offer such a product in the future.Until then buy these.You will be happy and confident with piece of mind that your babies are having fun and are safe.
Works for containing kittens
Cat and 5 kittens (two weeks old) are pretty comfortable and contained. It took a day or two for the smell to air out, but overall it’s a great place to keep these kittens contained and safe as they start learning to walk. We left off the mesh top so mama-cat can jump to my desk to get out for her litter box, food, water, for cuddles, etc. but the top was very easy to zip on and off and the zipper overlaps a little so more ingenuity-prone pets don’t use some kind of gap to break out. Pockets are handy, doors roll and velcro out of the way easily.
Clever design, needs improved manual
This design is so very clever! Folds to a compact, flat, slim shape for storage. Doesn't take much time to assemble fully. The manual photos are unclear in their depiction of each step, so it takes so trial and error to figure out how to get the next-to-last, complex, zigzag fold before the final. Can be done with a little patience. Optionallly, the zippered top can be left off.
Awesome
This play pen is great! I got the XL for 3 rescued kittens, large enough for a kitten litter box, toys, water & food bowls, & blanket. They have a great time.
Cat Playpen
I purchased this playpen for my kitten. It was perfect. He loves playing in it. We put it in our RV when we travel to keep him safe during driving and set it up in our spare room at our house to allow him to freely go in/out of it. It is full of his toys. It is very sturdy and lightweight.
Not good for leaving your dog alone.
My dog personally doesn't like being crated outside of sleeping at night, so this was not the best fit for him. My dog just tried to chew his way out, and he will definitely succeed eventually since it's fairly weak mesh. My dog also ended up partially collapsing this playpen on himself trying to get out, so I would not recommend using this without supervision. Not good for leaving your dog alone. This ended up not being the right product for my dog for what I had intended. Now we just leave the doors open all the time and it basically acts as a corral for my dog's toys. Will probably try to use it as his sleeping crate at night when traveling so that we don't have to lug the metal crate with us.
Looks aren't everything
Door was extremely small and blocked by supports. Very heavy All Mesh bottom provided no protection from wet grass
Awesome cat pen
Arrived in well shipped box. Surprised to see there was no setup, except standing up into shape and zipping the plastic floor and mesh ceiling. I have a 5-month-old semi-tamed kitten and just discourage her when she play claws on netting. I did put in a scratch post and would recommend . Design is reasonably sturdy & holds shape. Happy to see pockets and water bottle feature. Suggestion for water bottle hole could be slightly higher, although elastic band would have to be on mesh. May not work. I would encourage anyone to purchase this for small to medium docile animals. Perfect for litters. Love three entrances, two on opposite sides, 3rd, top zippered ceiling.
Great playpen for small animals
I got this to help ease the transition when bringing new kittens into the home, and it has delivered. It's large enough to fit my cat carrier in, or the kittens' tent bed (the small Frisco Tent Covered Dog and Cat Bed) so they have a place to hide if they're feeling overwhelmed. It's small enough to fit in my large kitchen. Would be great for fostering very young kittens who are too small to be roaming about on their own. I use it to separate the kittens for mealtimes (one will eat the other's food) and for introducing the kittens to our other animals while keeping everyone safe. I can see us using it in the future to keep the kittens safe while bringing things in and out of the house, like if we needed a plumber to work in the bathroom and/or the door needed to be left open for an extended period of time. Perhaps also for exposing the cats to the outdoors without needing to leash train them. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
Its not as big as i thought it would be
Its ok and easy to clean but we were gonna use it to keep my cat in at night due to my other cat bullying him. Its not as big around as i was hoping. There wasn't enough space for a litter box, cat bed, food and water.
