Almost perfect

My cat is quite picky, and she has a few dietary restrictions (grain-free and chicken-free) that make it difficult to find something that even fits the bill for her to try. This, so far, is the only dry food out of the last 3 that she's liked that she will actually eat plain! Normally I need to sweeten the deal by crumbling up a little (or a lot) of her favorite freeze-dried food underneath the food AND on top. Out of curiosity, I left a second bowl of this salmon food out without anything added to it, and she eats it! I still give her the crumbled freeze-dried stuff on top and underneath for the added health benefits, but just the fact she'll eat this dry food on its own is a big deal. I also like that this formula doesn't upset her sensitive little systems in any way, no meowing in the litter box or anything. The price is also a plus, being almost half of one of the other brands we've tried. The only reason I knocked a star and call this ALMOST perfect is because it's low in fiber. My little girl needs a good amount of fiber in her diet to help with hairballs. This salmon formula has only half the fiber of her previous dry food, which I overlooked. I know I can supplement more fiber into her diet in other ways (in theory, she is VERY picky and I'm very particular about ingredients), but it would've been helpful if this had a little more fiber. If, in the future, they had a slightly different formula that was still grain-free and chicken-free but offered a higher fiber content, that would be awesome. But for now we'll be sticking with this food because it's Maggie approved.

My cat has been overweight since about 8 months old. She’s now 5 years and has gotten just huge. I had been feeding her Orijen Fit & Trim for years through a timed feeder. One day I stumbled upon caloric needs for cats and realized she was having about double the amount she needed to be fed! The vet had never pointed that out to me so I think it’s probably common knowledge to look at the calories in a bag of cat food. I thought they were all about the same! Anyway, I hunted down new, lower calorie kibbles to try but also wanted chicken free in case our newly rescued dog got into it since she’s allergic to chicken. I found this food and I can only report great things. My cat changed over to it smoothly, loves it just as much as the Orijen, and is losing weight as she should. She also stopped getting as much eye gunk and shedding in a spot that she’d kind of bald in occasionally. The vet is impressed. My kitty has way more energy. I’m happy to see her happy and healthier.

Best Dry Cat Food EVER

I try to get the very best ingredients no matter the cost. But even the most high-end dry cat foods have meat by products as the main ingredient and chicken somewhere

I try to get the very best ingredients no matter the cost. But even the most high-end dry cat foods have meat by products as the main ingredient and chicken somewhere in the list. This cat food is real meat as the very first ingredient and no chicken!!! I had a cat who could not have fish, and could eat Instinct LID but it has chicken. Now I have a cat who cannot have chicken. If you thought finding fish free cat food was hard, it is almost impossible to find chicken free cat food. I give this as their before bed snack, their two main meals are wet food and Vital Essentials freeze dried Turkey and sometimes Duck. These kibbles are small enough to put in treat dispensing balls. And it's not so greasy like most dry kibble, which gums up the inside of treat balls and treat puzzles. I think it's good for my cats to have some dry kibble for their teeth, but it sounds to me like they only chew a few bites, most of it is swallowed whole, so if you have cat with no teeth who prefers dry kibble, this would be perfect as it is also very small. If your kitties like Salmon try the Tiki Cat Wild Salmon Consomme. It's real unprocessed Salmon!

With six cats, two with health issues, one with Lower UTI, and my oldest with poultry allergy its so hard to find cat food. This is my second back of Osopure and it's done great with all of my cats, they love it and the furballs are limited too. I do wish this company would make more cat-dry food options. It's so hard to find different proteins not poultry-related for cats.

I have 2 cats, one is allergic to poultry so both eat limited ingredient food. Chewy was out of my normal food so I got a 4lb bag of this formula and WOW. My cats have never so passionately eaten dry food before. They both tend to be a bit picky but loved the food, acclimated to it quickly, and have had no adverse health effects. Their coats are shiny and healthy. I'm very pleasantly surprised, definitely our go to food now! We're on our second bag and still getting the double cat stamp(s) of approval!

My cats are very snooty, but thank god I found this dry cat food. I’ve gone through one 10 lb bag of it, and they keep coming back for more. Ivan is 7, missing 2/3 of his teeth (vet took them out) because they were rotten eating all the store bought cat food when I didn’t know any better. And he still eats this dry. My other cat is around 2. Interesting ingredients and good for gut. Poops are normal.

I would of rated it a 5 if my cats would eat it...but they eat this when I won't give them something else. I think it is a good food but my cats are extremely picky
