One cat has fur that is short and super thich. The other one has super long regular thickness fur. It works amazing on both of them. It get out the little mats and actually gets the undercoat. The angle is super great and makes it very comfortable and convenient to use.

At first I tried this on my indoor-only cat and it “worked”, but she didn’t have a thick undercoat so the effects were the same as any brush. I decided to try it out on the feral cats that live in my backyard and it was INCREDIBLE. There was so much undercoating and this combed through their fur so easily. It even removed a bunch of burrs that had stuck on their legs. Afterward, there was a huge mound of undercoat and some VERY happy cats that looked much cooler. (All cats are shorthaired; highly recommend if you have cats that might grow and extra thick undercoat in the winter!)

This brush gently dredged out fistfuls of loose fur from our short-haired elderly tabby. It’s like magic. Our kitty had gotten too sensitive to handle most brushes for more than a stroke or two, so until this comb I had been losing the battle with her spring molt. Before it arrived, there were clouds of fur every time anyone petted her, but now after a few combing sessions miraculously only a couple hairs come loose at a time. Due to the incredible volume of fur this thing was extracting, I was worried that it was cutting her fur despite the claims otherwise. I tested it by attempting to cut a long strand of my own hair by pulling it between the teeth, and I can verify that it really is not cutting the hair at all, just as advertised. It also looks sharp and I was worried about it hurting my kitty’s elderly skin, but she tolerates it on her back much better than any other comb. To be safe, I still don’t let her rub her face on it.
