I thought avocados were toxic to dogs?
Answer by ChewyJul 03, 2019
Persin is located in highest concentrations in the leaves and is likely in the skin in lower concentrations. Dog foods that utilize avocados for their nutritional value use avocado meal, which is the green fruit between the pit and skin, and avocado oil. Neither of these parts used in dog foods are toxic.

Where is this sourced and made?
Answer by ChewyNov 21, 2019
Avoderm dog food is made in the USA. All of the main ingredients in Avoderm recipes purchased from North American suppliers with the exception of duck from France, tapioca powder from Thailand, lamb from New Zealand and quinoa from Peru. They purchase all of their vitamin mix from reputable domestic suppliers who source vitamins globally and then test them domestically before selling them.

Approximately how many cups of kibble are in the 26 pound bag?

This food has kibble that is a little larger than the size of a chickpea. This recipe is not available in a small breed formula.

Great product

We just adopted a senior dog who was neglected. She's healthy but had a lot of skin issues. The food really seems to be helping her skin heal and she loves eating it even though she's missing multiple teeth.

He likes it

My 12 year old rat terrier loves this dry food. He has a sensitive stomach and skin and this has really helped him a lot!

Done wonders for my girl!

This brand is amazing! Just transitioned my senior Shar Pei mix to this from the weight control formula. My sweetheart, Serena, has had a rough life. Her ears were so bad, even with bi-weekly cleanings it took almost a dozen gauze pads just to get all the gunk out her ears. Then more would build up again to the point it looked like her ears had never been touched. The scratching and biting also became a big problem. She’d pick and pick until I started finding bald or raw spots on her paws/legs/tail. AvoDerm has helped to clear up her ears and it’s so gentle on her stomach. Serena NEVER leaves behind a full dish. Whether it’s dry or mixed with her favorite canned formulas (also AvoDerm), she always cleans her plate! 10/10 recommend!

All my dogs love it

I use the senior formula for my two big dogs and our chihuahua gets small breed food. She loves it so much I sprinkle a little on top of her puppy kibble.

STALE FOOD

My Boston eats anything, including fruits and veggies but she didn't touch this food. I was surprised but I mixed it with some soup, some sauce or her wet food. She eat a little some times. Finally I discovered the food was very stale, it had a strong motor oil smell.

So far so good

I have to switch up my Chow Chow's chow to keep his skin healthy. These kibble feel very light in weight. The dog loves it and his bowels are doing well with a slow transition. Also, this is one of the few foods available for Senior dogs.

Great products from Avoderm

10 year old golden retriever raised on large breed formula which was perfect for her. Now that she is less active we switched her to Senior Chicken Meal and Brown rice. She loves it and continues to thrive.
