Are all of the ingredients sourced from the US?

Answer by ChewyJun 28, 2018
All of Dr. Mercola's sources are of the highest quality and they work with their manufacturers to ensure purity and potency on each and every batch. The Vitamin C is the Eye supports for pets is sourced from China. The rest of the ingredients are mainly sourced from the United States however, if they run into an issue where they're unable to get the ingredient in the United States, they will source the other ingredients from India.

My little Yorkie is now 16 years old and lost most of his hearing, but seems to be able to navigate the world through sight rather easily. Last year we noticed he was struggling to see as clearly, so I started him on this supplement. I saw a vast improvement with his overall eye health - less drainage and his eyes appear less cloudy. When we travel (he still comes with us everywhere) we forgot this supplement and he was without for a week. We saw a change that was correctly when we got back home. I’m not saying this is a miracle, nothing is, but it’s helping our little senior boy and we appreciate it.

I used the entire jar of the old style supplement and my cat actually liked that one. I was so excited to see they had it again, but with a new look so I purchased it. My cat won't even eat food near it and he hates it. Super disappointed and I can't seem to find something else that he will eat. I guess I'll end up giving it to my dogs.

I'm disappointed in Dr. Becker and Mercola. I purchased this item for my Boston Terrier and when I took it to my veterinarian to discuss using it, she pointed out that the first ingredient on the list, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) is a synthetic supplement. For doctors who preach about putting good things into the diets of humans and pets, why isn't a natural source of vitamin C being used? This is a trusted brand name and I feel let down by what they have chosen to sell for pets. My vet and I opted for a different product for my dog.

I have tried several ways over the last few months to figure out ways to get my cat to constantly take this with her food, and she always knows it’s in there and will turn around and demand something else and won’t touch her food if we put this in it. We were pretty bummed because her breed his prone to eye problems, but this was not the product for us purely because she wants nothing to do with it.

I was really hoping this product would help my German Shepherd‘s eyes as they are slightly glossy as he is aging. The powder has a bad smell to it that makes me sick, my dog will not eat anything that has this powder on it. I was impressed with the glass container that the product came in. the scoop is much smaller than I expected, I anticipated using much more for my 90 pound dog.

I haven't even had the eye support long enough to know if it works

The auto ship is a mistake. I just got the dog eye support 2 wks ago which is not enough time to tell if it's helping my dog or not... I'm returning the 2nd box

So my boy had an accident while being underfoot while I was prepping some veggies with some sherry vinegar. Right in his eye. The odds right? He ended up at the vet and was just fine but the whole thing got me investigating eye health products. He’s a lil old man and definitely has some cataracts I’d noticed anyway. I read reviews and was very skeptical but pulled the trigger and while worried this is just in my head I swear his eyes are less cloudy just after a few short weeks. I’ll update but coming from a skeptical consumer this really does seem to be working.
