The foam base measures 3 inches thick. The sleeping surface for the Medium bed is 16 x 16 inches, the Large bed is 23 x 22 inches, and the X-Large bed is 29 x 22 inches.

not as good as my old Beautyrest dog bed

The bolster filling is not contained in its own liner--it is just loose inside the dog bed cover. My last Beautyrest dog bed provided great service for several years;

The bolster filling is not contained in its own liner--it is just loose inside the dog bed cover. My last Beautyrest dog bed provided great service for several years; I could remove its rectangular mattress pad and the bolsters so that I could machine wash the lining. I don't like that the new one has bolsters that are not removable so I will return it.

Their favorite chew toys

These benebone chew toys are the only things my boys come back to time after time. I have never had a toy last so long (years!) that they actually want to continue

These benebone chew toys are the only things my boys come back to time after time. I have never had a toy last so long (years!) that they actually want to continue to use. We own just about every shape. There is just enough give to make the dogs feel like they are making some chewing progress but they last forever. We do have to sand down the areas that have been chewed from time to time to help smooth the surface a bit but that is our only issue. We use a belt grinder and it's done in a flash. I would definitely recommend these!

It's A Hug

Don’t buy the large size expecting to get a bed for your large dog. The measurements given don’t match the real size. Now I have to buy a another bed that fits

wrapping on the beauty rest bed

The wrapping on the dog bed is so tight i had to use a scissor to help me. When doing so I nicked the material. There has to be a way to make it more user friendly

Used to be 10/10 recommend for large dogs.

This in my opinion used to be the best dog bed for 40-100 lb dogs in the large/x-large size bed. However, sometime between May 2022 and August 2025 they changed

This in my opinion used to be the best dog bed for 40-100 lb dogs in the large/x-large size bed. However, sometime between May 2022 and August 2025 they changed the foam base they use. It went from being a 3-4 inch foam base which was plenty of support for large dogs to about a 1-2 inch base. I know this because I bought this product originally in 2021 and bought a second one in April 2022 for our two family pitbulls 65lbs and 90lbs. I recently purchased a replacement for the one bought in 2021 as the exterior fabric stitching was separating. The replacement had the 1-2 inch foam and is completely unrealistic for a dog bed this size and significantly doesn't warrant the cost of this product. I'm not sure why Beautyrest switched the bottom foam base, but purchase at your own risk. I wouldn't let a dog bigger than 15-20lbs sleep on the new base.
