Questions & Answers

3 Customer Questions

where is this product made?
Answer by ChewyJan 18, 2022
This chew toy is made in the USA.

what are the chances of the color of the toy bleeding onto light carpet, when played with on the floor?
Answer by ChewyJan 11, 2022
It is highly unlikely that the Maplestick’s color would rub off on a carpet. This product contains nylon and real maple wood, and nothing else.

My dog is on a one protein only food trial right now. Does this contain any meat protein? Thanks.
Answer by ChewyApr 17, 2021
This chew toy is made with a sturdy nylon material and is full of flavor from real maple wood.

Love it!

I originally received this as a gift... I'm now on my 3rd one that my Pit/Terrier mix dog loves. They've given her many months of enjoyment.

Top quality, breed specific chew bones.

We have 2 Cane Corsos and an English Mastiff pup which range between 13yrs to 11 months old. Needless to say it's been difficult finding safe chew toys for a small pack of giant breed dogs with a PSI of 552! You don't bring a knife to a gun fight...lol So I did my research and found that Benebones were highly vet recommended. I first purchased 2 of their Peanut Butter flavored Wishbones from Chewy. I knew immediately from removing them from the delivery box that these chew toys were of better quality by their weight and design than other brands I've tried. Our 3 pooches loved them and one or the other would actively chew to their hearts content leaving minimal destruction each time. So I immediately ordered 3 of these Maple Chew Sticks, so there could be more rotation amongst the 3 dogs, hoping they would last longer. These Benebones are the best chew toys for giant breeds. The will not splinter like natural bones, they are size appropriate for Mastiffs, and ergonomically designed so your dog can maintain a good grip with their paws while they get their chew on. No worries about chunks coming off, splintering, or carpet stains. I don't even have to babysit them when they are chewing on these products because they remain very solid, don't slime up like raw hide, and even after almost two months now, they have withstood the 440lbs of our doggos daily chewing with very little wear to show for it as shown in the pixs. Hands down a superior product that eliminated my choking concerns, and have provided endless hours of chewing pleasure for my crew.

This is my dog's absolute favorite toy!

The time has come, I finally need to buy a replacement after over six months of daily chewing from my large dog. He loves this stick, and the texture seems to be a tiny bit softer than other "flavors" of nylon toys he's tried. He's managed to chew off half of the toy at this point, but never got a big chunk off. I'd recommend this toy to anybody to try; it's the only type of toy my dog will really go to town chewing on. Watch where you step though! This toy is worse than a lego

Want a big vet bill?

These stick toys say they are safe for dogs so that is why I bought 2, my little golden retriever puppy has been chewing on it for 3 days off and on and she starts gagging/puking like something is stuck in her throat…. She began to eat her hair off her blanket and the hair in her kennel so we googled it and google stated “dogs will eat their hair if they are having stomach or intestinal issues” well only thing she had different was this stick toy! This is dangerous as little splinters come off of it and the dog swallows it… this toy will cost you vet bills for sure. I don’t understand how chewy allows them to sell these.

Great for Heavy Chewers

My large dogs love the largest sized Benebone maple flavored chew sticks. They are expensive, however, because they are safe for the most aggressive chewers they last a long time. I don't worry about them chewing and swallowing this product. So no expensive surgeries to remove parts of chew toys stuck in the intestines or the esophagus. Will order again.

Our lab loves it!

Our 7 month old lab is a huge fan of chewing sticks. I figured I'd give this a try to help ease on the amount of bully sticks we were going through as well as give her something close to a tree branch. She LOVES it! I was surprised at how heavy it is, so if you have a glass table and a dog that likes to toss their toys when playing, be careful. We will be keeping one of these in the house at all times now.

Great Gnawing Distraction

My German Shepherd Pit Bull mix loves this toy! We have had it for about 2 months and it’s still going strong. Especially helpful when raining outside all day and my dog needs something else to relax with.

Dangerous pieces break off

I bought this for my Catahoula with high hopes. She loves elk antlers but they’re so expensive. Bought this based on positive reviews but I had to take it away from her in less than a week. Pieces of this Benebone chew were breaking off in no time flat. Noticed her coughing but didn’t know the cause right away. Next day I was picking up multiple pieces that had broken off of this chew ranging from the size of fry rice to the size of a puffed cheeseball. Thankfully she spit out the larger pieces! This could cause choking and intestinal damage/blockage. Run the other way.
