Questions & Answers

10 Customer Questions

Where are these bags made?

Answer by Chewy • Sep 17, 2020
These waste bags are made in the USA.

Are these bags unscented?

Answer by Chewy • Jun 23, 2020
These bags are crafted from corn by-products and vegetable oils, creating a natural color and smell similar to popcorn.

Are these bags flushable?

Answer by Chewy • Aug 28, 2019
These bags are flushable, however it is not recommended to do so. If the product is used to pick up animal waste, putting the bags into the water system can be introducing toxins from the waste itself.

What is the actual dimensions of the bag?

Answer by Chewy • Dec 28, 2021
These bags measure 8 x 13 inches with a thickness of 0.8 mil.

I have been using these bags for a few years, however, for the second time the quality of the bags worsened. They are now so thin that they rip when tearing them off the roll. Also, because they are so thin they are not suitable for large breeds. After a lot of searching I found a great quality compostable bag at Lil' Archie's, they make eco pet products.

I was not expecting these bags to be inside a dispensary type box. I thought this was the kind you could put in a coat pocket and unroll one as you need it. I am getting used to pulling out a couple from the box and placing the bags in my coat pocket whenever I take my dog out. They seem to be well made, but a bit narrow. I have a large breed dog with large poos to pick up. I sometimes need 2 bags per potty break. It's doable.

These are good quality for compostable bags. I expected them to be flimsy. But in re-reading the description, it does say that they are thicker and tougher than petroleum-based bags. This is true! They open very easily, which is a huge plus. The last set of bags that I had (don't recall the brand) were really hard to open. This is a sufficient size bag, also.

Not on a small roll

I really want to use compostable poop bags, and these look perfectly fine, but they aren't on a small roll that fits in usual leash containers. That's pretty critical

Not practical

The bags constantly tear because they are so thin and hard to pull apart. You end up wasting so many bags by trying to tear the next one.

Half the time when I rip off a new bag from the roll, the bag tears rendering it useless. Have never encountered this problem with any other brand. If you are very careful and tear along the perforation very slowly and carefully you can avoid ripping, but overall these are much less durable then the standard poo bag. Would not buy again, too many instances of picking up poop and finding was a small tear in the bottom.
