Transition Instructions

The only wet food she'll eat

By AnnH on Dec 16, 2020

I've tried so many types and brands of wet food; from Purina, Friskies to premium brands like Blue Buffalo and Merrick. Mia would not touch any of them. I have also tried other flavors and textures of all Weruva/BFF/Soulistic wet food yet this is the only one she'd eat. The community cats love all of the portions that she does not eat, fortunately. I would mix a package of Hartz Delectables Bisque and about 1.5oz of water to 1/2 of the 5.5 can, just to be sure she's getting enough hydration for the day. The smell can be a bit strong but it does smell like actual meat instead of cheap fillers and by-products. Glad I could get the case delivered with the rest of Mia's supplies on Chewy.

    BFF is a winner

By Tampacatmom on Dec 11, 2020 Top 100 Contributor

Weruva is a independently owned company producing high quality cat food. My cats prefer pate style food but trying to find pate with no carageenan is not easy! BFF is carageenan free and no meat by products. The cats are enjoying this flavor, but I do limit canned food with fish to once or twice a week.

    Cats are not a fan.

By Sammie on Sep 13, 2020

I ordered this for various reasons: 1st because I want healthier food for my cats (esp. W/no carrageenan), second because the price was more reasonable than some of the other healthy choices and lastly, I needed something for all my cats various issues. I have 7 due to taking in a pregnant stray and being a "you raise it, it's yours forever" type of person. I have a cat with constipation issues, one overweight and one with urinary issues and this is supposed to be good for all of that. I personally dislike the smell of anything fishy (rarely eat it myself) but will put up with anything for my fur babies, and yes the smell can be awful. Unfortunately, not all the cats are fond of each flavor I ordered this for various reasons: 1st because I want healthier food for my cats (esp. I personally dislike the smell of anything fishy (rarely eat it myself) but will put up with anything for my fur babies, and yes the smell can be awful. Unfortunately, not all the cats are fond of each flavor in the BFF line so I buy a variety of the Weruva family. This one is the second least favorite of all 7 of my cats and I won't be purchasing this particular one again. I would still recommend trying it for your cat as it is a healthier choice over many others. … more

None of my cats will eat this one

By Mary on Aug 16, 2020

4 cats gave this flavor a thumbs down. I’ll feed them in the morning before I leave and it’ll still be sitting there untouched when I get home 13 hours later. Thankfully I give them a second can in the morning of a different variety or they’d starve themselves

Best cat food for cats especially older cats

By Brad on May 9, 2020

This food came recommended by a pet store. It is high quality food that even our cat with kidney failure will only eat this food with no adverse reactions. He won’t eat the specialty hills kidney food. So do yourself a favor spend a little more. You’ll get it back in a healthier cat that needs less vet visits.
