    Started Strong and Quickly Withered!

    By on

While the first can went down fast with one of the cats in our house (not the one it had been ordered for, of course!) that seems to have been a fluke because neither of them have shown any interest in the flavor since then. It's surprising, because he's eaten various BFF foods before with evident enjoyment and they both love tuna - but not this tuna, it seems! He won't give it more than a few bites, and the other cat - the one this food was supposed to be for - won't eat it at all, even though it looks almost just like her previous favorite and seemed like it should have been right up her alley. What problem children we have!

    good choice for picky eater

    By on

My cat is one truly picky eater! however, she loves the Tuna & Salmon from b.f.f. Several other foods which are generally highy acceptable to cats have been summarily spurned, so I was happy to find another food at a reasonable cost that she readily eats. Primarily I feed dry food but feel some wet food adds a needed dimension to her diet.

Good food, but a bit sloppy.

    By on

There is no doubt a lot of moisture content in this food. Also good, it's low on phosphates and sodium and make with good ingredients. The company is family-owned and if you e-mail them, they get back to you quickly and are really helpful. My issue with this particular "flavor" is that it's not very appetizing looking in the dish and my five cats didn't really care for it. I do, occasionally, have two of my neighbors cats that stop by when they aren't getting fed enough and they do eat it without any complaints!

    Both Cats Love It!

    By on

And, if they love it, I do, too! We have an 11-year-old female Ocicat with IBD, and had to switch her to moist food only a couple months ago. She is missing teeth and was having trouble chewing the dry food, even though she liked it. We also have a 6-year-old male black cat. He loves bff also. He has a beautiful silky coat since we switched to an LID.

    Cats won't go near it

    By on Top 500 Contributor

My picky felines used to really like this BFF by Weruva, and I fed it once/week (too much fish isn't good). But formula has changed. Like other reviewers, now my cats turn their noses up. They would rather go hungry. *sigh* Chewy, please start carrying the new Weruva hydrating pate. Cats love that one.

    close to canned tuna

    By on

My cats are very picky, but they do enjoy a change of pace at times. This is a great company, but the food really is a gelatinous paste, so be prepared when you open the can for what's inside. My cats love the intense fishiness of it, but it can be a little off-putting for us humans!
