    Chocolate pudding

    By on

My indoor and outdoor cats have been eating this food for years. Unfortunately, they no longer want to go near it. I understand that you removed a harmful ingredient, but the new food is like powdered meat with the consistency of pudding. There is nothing for the cats to chew. Instead, they have to lap the food like milk. I wouldn't feed my cats milk and I recommend that you re-evaluate the change in the consistency of the food. I am so sorry that I won't be purchasing this food anymore. I don't know what I will use for food.I have been giving them ghee and rotisserie chicken instead.

    New Formula Fail

    By on

The new formula has an unpleasant gooey consistency that gets really hard and dried up quickly when mixed with dry food. I have had to throw away quite a bit of food because she’ll leave some in the bowl and before I notice and put it away, it’s dried up and hard. She won’t eat it at that point and I have to get new food often. Disappointing switch. This was always our go to brand.

Agree with all the comments about new formula

    By on

I thought that maybe I imagined that the formula changed but I'm glad to know it isn't just me based on the recent reviews! My cat used to love this food but now not so much. She still eats it on occasion (I do have 24 cans to use up), but the color and texture have changed yet the label and name on the product remains the same. This is worrisome, as it makes me wonder - do they think we won't notice the difference? And what prompted the change? If it was a higher quality product they'd tell us with a new name, tag line etc...but they did not.

    new formula

    By on

The new formula just does not compare to the old say my kitties. The amount of food has substantially changed and is waaay less with the gelee form..my kitties are not so crazy over it.

Recipe changed; cats won't eat anymore

    By on

My boys used to devour their BFF tuna but since they've change the recipe, my cats will not eat it. I now have a case of food that I'll have to donate, but I'm also out the $$$ and have to find a new brand for my boys.

    Why Why Why????

    By on

We are on day thee of the new formulation, and our cat refuses to eat. Constantly asks for food, smells the new stuff, then simply walks away. Over and over again. We’re also desperate for sleep, because she asks for food through the night now. It’s like having a newborn in the house. She doesn’t eat anything else. We’re still waiting to see if sheer hunger will change her mind. Why did you change a thing that worked??? Our house is not a happy place right now and guess who we are blaming!

    Frustrated with new formula!

    By on

It took us a long time to find a brand of canned cat food for my bengals! Now it has been changed. I would really like to know why it was changed and the benefits. My cats are not thrilled with the new consistency. I will now be removing it from my auto ship and starting the process of finding something else that works with their tastebuds. I am a very disappointed client of BFF food!

    Wants to bury this one.

    By on

With the first delivery of the variety pack my cat ate this one without issue. The most recent delivery he won't eat. He sniffs it and turns aside and tries to bury it -- i.e., he's telling me what he thinks of it. That's alot of money to throw away.

    New Formula is Awful

    By on

Our cats loved the aspic version, but the new formula literally looks like diarrhea and our cats seem to feel the same way. And it's doing a real number on the litterbox - goes in and comes out the same disgusting way. I order these by the case and this is going to be a tough month trying to trick them into eating it. Product was constantly inconsistent but this is out of control. Now we have to go through the borderline-impossible task of finding a new canned food without grains that our picky cats will eat. Bleccchh!

    What a major change!!!

    By on

I have to agree with other reviewers that the latest version "gelle" is a major change in the consistency of the previous "aspic" of this product. I had not realized that the product had changed and was completely surprised when I opened the can of the new version. It is definitely minced and really soupy. I preferred the old version but the cats seemed to like this one as well. We will see if they continue to like it as we progress through the case.
