Learn More About Bil-Jac From Our Team of Experts

The Bil-Jac Difference

The folks at Bil-Jac don't rush when it comes to making high-quality food for your dog. No, they believe healthy food takes time. From their carefully selected ingredients to their slow-cooked and gently dried recipes, these animal-lovers take their time to create a dog food that puts nutrition first. Bil-Jac looks so different because it is so different—and your dog will feel it, too.

Small Batches, Cooked Slowly and Gently

Bil-Jac builds their recipes on high-quality, fresh ingredients – like the 25 pounds of fresh chicken they use to make a 30 pound bag of Bil-Jac Adult Select. Their unique Nutri-Lock cooking method is like no other and allows them to use so much more fresh chicken, without using high-temperatures and high pressure. Instead they craft meals like you would in your own kitchen, for outstanding nutrition and mouth-watering taste.

From the Bowl to the Yard

Not only will your dog's taste buds thank you, but so will his tummy—and so will your lawn. When you feed your pet a quality, nutrient-rich meal, his digestive system will thrive just the way it should. And, when your dog's stomach is happy, so are you.

Take the Bil-Jac Challenge

While you care about how nutritious your dog's food is, he craves another important thing: food he can't wait to eat.. And your pal will love the tail-wagging, delicious taste of fresh chicken in every bite of Bil-Jac. Don't believe us? Try the Two-Bowl Challenge. Place a small amount of your regular kibble in one bowl and Bil-Jac kibble in another - see which bowl your best friend empties first!

The Bil-Jac Tip-To-Tail Guarantee

After 70 years of cooking nutritious meals for dogs, the people at Bil-Jac stand by every bag they make. They don't care about being the biggest manufacturer of pet food—instead, their goal is to provide the absolute best nutrition for dogs and keep tails wagging. They truly believe in their food, and they believe you'll see a difference in how your dog looks and feels after a few weeks eating Bil-Jac.

About Bil-Jac

After returning home from serving in World War II, brothers Bill and Jack Kelly began their mission to create a better pet food in 1947. They developed a completely new way to take large amounts of fresh chicken, cook it slowly, and then vacuum dry it to remove the moisture while keeping its powerful nutritional value. Today, they continue their commitment to nutrition with their ever-growing assortment of foods and treats.

What is the copper content of this food?

Difference in small breed kibble size compared to medium and large breed. Could you please give me a size in inches or compared to perhaps a dime or quarter?

Answer by ChewyFeb 14, 2022
All Bil-Jac kibbles are the same size. The difference lies in the formula as small breed dogs require different nutrients than large breed dogs.

Can senior dogs use this product safely?

Answer by ChewyMay 14, 2020
This variety is formulated for adult dogs, including seniors.

Is this chewy and moist or dry and crunchy?

Answer by ChewyNov 13, 2018
This is a dry kibble so the texture would be crunchy.

Persnickety is in the title

I used to feed my previous dog a different high end brand, that my current 60-pound rescue dog, Tuck, turned his nose up at. So I was trying all sorts of different brands to find something he'd eat. Turns out this Picky No More for Persnickety eaters is just what we needed. Tuck is about 12 years old now, and has been eating this kibble his whole life, with some toppings added here and there for variety. He is healthy, and and has healthy poops from this. Sometimes I put this food in his rolling treat dispenser along with a few treats, as it is small enough to dispense properly. I have to order this food from Chewy, as there's no pet stores near me and none of the farm stores carry it. It always arrives quickly.

Great customer service

After I ordered, I immediately called chewy when I realized the order was going to old address since we recently moved. To my pleasant surprise, an actual person

After I ordered, I immediately called chewy when I realized the order was going to old address since we recently moved. To my pleasant surprise, an actual person answered the phone, changed my address and phone number. Asked about our pet who had passed. Put our old pet on memorial and added our new pet to our file. What a pleasant surprise. Chewy cares about customers to have real people answer their phones!!! They even sent flowers and a special note for our beloved pet that passed. Great dog food, quick delivery, amazing value, AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I am a Chewy customer for life!! I believe the amazing customer service rep was Nicole. Thank you Chewy.

The name, picky no more.

It was one of the first dry dog foods that I could get him to eat. Although he's kind of strange because sometimes he won't eat the wet dog food that I buy for him

It was one of the first dry dog foods that I could get him to eat. Although he's kind of strange because sometimes he won't eat the wet dog food that I buy for him. He is sometimes a little bit of a pain in the behind. It's probably my fault for spoiling himso much. However if you have a picky dog they will probably eat this food. It was the first dry food that I could get boo to eat other than somebody gave me some commodity dog food that they received from Petmart and he would nibble at that

Not sure about this brand

My baby loves the taste but after a few months of eating it she got sick and the only thing different was that we switched to this food. I can’t know for certain

My baby loves the taste but after a few months of eating it she got sick and the only thing different was that we switched to this food. I can’t know for certain but it is possible that it’s the food that made her sick. She isn’t the kind of dog who eats stuff off the street hence why I tried this food because she’s super picky. But I’m not taking any chances. I’m now cooking for her.

Flavor of Liver

My dogs run a lot and are hard to maintain weight. My dogs have been eating more since I bought a bag of this to try. I will keep them on it for a month or two

My picky pup doesn't care for it

I was hopeful my picky pup would enjoy it since it's made for picky pups. But, not so much. I'm gonna keep trying. But so far she's turned her nose up to it.
