Learn More About Bil-Jac From Our Team of Experts

The Bil-Jac Difference

The folks at Bil-Jac don't rush when it comes to making high-quality food for your dog. No, they believe healthy food takes time. From their carefully selected ingredients to their slow-cooked and gently dried recipes, these animal-lovers take their time to create a dog food that puts nutrition first. Bil-Jac looks so different because it is so different—and your dog will feel it, too.

Small Batches, Cooked Slowly and Gently

Bil-Jac builds their recipes on high-quality, fresh ingredients – like the 25 pounds of fresh chicken they use to make a 30 pound bag of Bil-Jac Adult Select. Their unique Nutri-Lock cooking method is like no other and allows them to use so much more fresh chicken, without using high-temperatures and high pressure. Instead they craft meals like you would in your own kitchen, for outstanding nutrition and mouth-watering taste.

From the Bowl to the Yard

Not only will your dog's taste buds thank you, but so will his tummy—and so will your lawn. When you feed your pet a quality, nutrient-rich meal, his digestive system will thrive just the way it should. And, when your dog's stomach is happy, so are you.

Take the Bil-Jac Challenge

While you care about how nutritious your dog's food is, he craves another important thing: food he can't wait to eat.. And your pal will love the tail-wagging, delicious taste of fresh chicken in every bite of Bil-Jac. Don't believe us? Try the Two-Bowl Challenge. Place a small amount of your regular kibble in one bowl and Bil-Jac kibble in another - see which bowl your best friend empties first!

The Bil-Jac Tip-To-Tail Guarantee

After 70 years of cooking nutritious meals for dogs, the people at Bil-Jac stand by every bag they make. They don't care about being the biggest manufacturer of pet food—instead, their goal is to provide the absolute best nutrition for dogs and keep tails wagging. They truly believe in their food, and they believe you'll see a difference in how your dog looks and feels after a few weeks eating Bil-Jac.

About Bil-Jac

After returning home from serving in World War II, brothers Bill and Jack Kelly began their mission to create a better pet food in 1947. They developed a completely new way to take large amounts of fresh chicken, cook it slowly, and then vacuum dry it to remove the moisture while keeping its powerful nutritional value. Today, they continue their commitment to nutrition with their ever-growing assortment of foods and treats.

I rescued a 1 year old female GSD, 1 year ago. She came to me with runny poops, hook worms, tape worms and Giardia. She had been left behind in an apartment by her first family, when they moved out. She wasn’t found for a week. During that time she had no access to food or water, except for toilet water, and no way to go outside to potty. Once in my home, she still had runny poops, even after clearing up the worms and Giardia. She also ate her own poop. I tried every trick in the book, to get her stop. Someone suggested bil jac food. I started with this formula, sensitive skin and stomach knowing she had a sensitive tummy. It cleared her right up, made her poops firm and she stopped eating her poops! I tried to switch to the large dog formula, but then she was gassy and I worried about bloat, so I switched back to this sensitive skin and stomach, since it has probiotics. Her tummy went back to normal and coat is much silkier. I tried one more time to switch to another brand with higher calories, because she’s extremely active and hard to keep weight on, but when I got to about half of the new food while weaning her off of the old food, she started eating her poops again and her coat started to dull. So, we are sticking with the bil jac sensitive skin and stomach! On a side note her cousin, my sisters vizsla has had runny poops and a sensitive tummy her entire life and she’s 9. My sister made the switch as well and rants and raves about how her tummy is happy and she finally has solid poops for the first time in her life. My male dog has a chicken allergy, so I have him on something else, but I still busted him with his head in her bag, so in other words it must be tasty too! I recommend this food to everyone! I hope they make a non chicken formula one day!

Our border collie loved the food and gobbled it down but sadly on the 2nd day he had an allergic reaction to it and started wheezing and reverse sneezing which lasted almost half a day. I think it was from the fish in it since he’s never had a dog food that had fish.

Our little fur baby has been raised on BilJac. In the beginning she ate the chicken and steamed rolled oats never had a skin issue. Because of her allergy to corn we've been told to get her off the corn ingredients. She's heartbroken but the skin abrasions are going away. Please bring back the steamed rolled oats!
