Small Batches, Cooked Slowly and Gently

Their unique Nutri-Lock cooking method is like no other and allows them to use so much more fresh chicken, without using high-temperatures and high pressure. Instead they craft meals like you would in your own kitchen, for outstanding nutrition and mouth-watering taste.

From the Bowl to the Yard

Not only will your dog's taste buds thank you, but so will his tummy—and so will your lawn. When you feed your pet a quality, nutrient-rich meal, his digestive system will thrive just the way it should. And, when your dog's stomach is happy, so are you.

Take the Bil-Jac Challenge

While you care about how nutritious your dog's food is, he craves another important thing: food he can't wait to eat.. And your pal will love the tail-wagging, delicious taste of fresh chicken in every bite of Bil-Jac. Don't believe us? Try the Two-Bowl Challenge. Place a small amount of your regular kibble in one bowl and Bil-Jac kibble in another - see which bowl your best friend empties first!

The Bil-Jac Tip-To-Tail Guarantee

After 70 years of cooking nutritious meals for dogs, the people at Bil-Jac stand by every bag they make. They don't care about being the biggest manufacturer of pet food—instead, their goal is to provide the absolute best nutrition for dogs and keep tails wagging. They truly believe in their food, and they believe you'll see a difference in how your dog looks and feels after a few weeks eating Bil-Jac.

About Bil-Jac

After returning home from serving in World War II, brothers Bill and Jack Kelly began their mission to create a better pet food in 1947. They developed a completely new way to take large amounts of fresh chicken, cook it slowly, and then vacuum dry it to remove the moisture while keeping its powerful nutritional value. Today, they continue their commitment to nutrition with their ever-growing assortment of foods and treats.

Difference in small breed kibble size compared to medium and large breed. Could you please give me a size in inches or compared to perhaps a dime or quarter?
Answer by ChewyFeb 14, 2022
All Bil-Jac kibbles are the same size. The difference lies in the formula as small breed dogs require different nutrients than large breed dogs.

I have a medium size adult dog that is so picky when it comes to food and he loves Bil & jac bag food for picky eaters, however it's for my puppy and I feed them in different rooms my question is do you make a bag food like the purple bag for his size he's medium size Cockapoo
Answer by ChewyJul 25, 2018
At this time, the Bil-Jac Picky No More foods are formulated for adult dogs and would not be recommended to be fed to a puppy.

Can senior dogs use this product safely?
Answer by ChewyMay 14, 2020
This variety is formulated for adult dogs, including seniors.

Is this chewy and moist or dry and crunchy?
Answer by ChewyNov 13, 2018
This is a dry kibble so the texture would be crunchy.

I do not recommend this food at all!

My dog is a picky eater and I usually have to mix wet food and dry food for him to eat. I seen this dog foods reviews and recommendations and thought I’ll give it a try. The fist time I swerved him he loved it and I got so happy because I thought to myself this is it! This is the one! And so I thought!…My dogs health went down hill from that moment!!! All he does now is throw up all around the place after eating this food! I have tried following the amount of food serving recommendation per the bag for the large breed, I have tried to divide the amounts among other things and nothing seems to work! My baby never experienced anything like this and it pains me so see him suffer! Buy and try at your own risk!

Truly for Picky Eaters

A little over a year ago my parents had a beautiful white husky show up at their house. They had no intention of getting a dog again, but after doing all the things you do to try to get a lost dog back to his humans no one claimed him and it was decided he was a dumped pup because he is a bit...difficult, to say the least. One of the difficulties is that he REFUSES to eat. They really thought he was going to starve to death a few times. They took him to the vet a bunch of times and there is nothing physically wrong with him to make him not eat, he just would not eat. My parents tried sooo many foods. My husband and I tried foods. My brother tried different foods and we could not get this dog to eat more than he needed to barely survive. A few years ago I had gotten a sample of Bil-Jac from a vendor at the pet store and my dogs loved it so much that I couldn't even buy it because my one Pomeranian would eat it to the point of choking, no matter what tricks we tried to get her to slow down so this was a last ditch effort to get my parent's husky to eat like a normal dog. I bought the smaller bag to give to my parents to try and sure enough he seems to genuinely love this Bil-Jac Picky No More food. He's still not gobbling it up, but he actually ate out of a bowl for the first time since they took him in! Up to this point they would have to just play this game where they threw bits of food between his legs to eat even though that is not an ideal eating habit. Needless to say we will be buying the bigger bag for their Mr. Snow and I'm so incredibly happy that Bil-Jac has a product this dog will FINALLY eat!

So far so good

We have a shepherd mix that we have been struggling to get to eat regularly We have switched food several times in the last year because he just sniffs it and walks away. He is about 75 lbs and 15 months old so not starving just not loving his food. Today we tried slowly transitioning to Bil Jac Picky No More however he only picked through his old mix of canned food and meaty bites to eat this type. He just walked away after a few minutes until I gave him a bowl of Bil Jac. Once his bowl was down he ate all 2 cups and then let out a huge belch! I will update my review after the new wears off and see if he is still in love. P.s. commas are not special characters and should be allowed in reviews.

This dog food lives up to the name

Both our pups had lost their zest for their food, only adding additives would tease them into eating. We tried a small bag, figuring nothing ventured nothing gained. The product look was a little off putting, it reminded me of wood pellets. It was an immediate success. Even our finicky same food for 11 years has been sneaking about looking for spare outcasts. They both are back to a strictly dry dog food diet while our being secure that they are getting the nutrition the mastiff and pittie require.

Still being eaten

My dog, the pickiest of the pickiest eaters (unless it is cat food or road kill ewwww) is still eating her picky no more. Every once in a while I have to spice it up i.e. adding some finely grated swiss cheese or freeze dried chicken, but it does get eaten, unlike many other dog foods that I have tried. I also really like the shape.

Dogs Are Barely Eating It

After reading the reviews, it seemed like it was going to be a good food for my dogs. I wanted a dry dog food with liver as they love liver and usually gobble it down. I have a Jack Russell Terrier and a Catahoula. The Jack Russell will nibble at it, but the Catahoula will eat it only occasionally. My biggest complaint is that the food has so much crumbs and powder that they do not want to eat around it. I have to sift that out over the garbage can before I can feed it. I am not happy with how little they are eating and will probably have to purchase a new kind of dog food as I am trying them on a grain diet for a little while due to the reports of heart problems with "No Grain" dog foods.

Quality Food

The dogs love this. They love all the bil jac snacks too! This food came recommended from a breeder that has fed bil jac for over 20 years. The dogs finish their bowls every meal!

worked…for a bit

4 stars ONLY because my senior golden retriever is SO suddenly picky. this worked magically for about 4 days- she gobbled it down. Then I’m not sure what happened (i may have given her some slight aversion to the kibble by adding some whipped cream which she wasn’t jazzed about). She’s kind of returning to it (with the added treats) now, a couple days later, after failed attempts at introducing other new kibble. This is the frustrating part of having a picky senior member to care for! I would def recommend trying this if you find yourself in the same spot. It has been the only food period to stimulate her, even while on prednisone. I was so happy bc it’s actually good for her/her poops too- VS living on chicken and rice or whatever random things she’ll eat. Much to my avail all of the traditional food try’s have failed. I MAY try another formulation of this food just to see if that helps any. *shrugs*

Really is what it says!

My dog eats wet food without blinking, but there are times when dry food is a better option - not only as a mixer but when we travel. He turned up his nose at everything I tried, including semi-soft dry foods. Then my mom gave me a partial bag of this "Picky No More" and my buddy eats this like it's THE BEST THING EVERRRRRR. He really loves it. I sprinkle it on top of his wet food, I give it to him just plain - he eats every morsel. Something about the flavor and the light crunchiness is just perfect. 10/10 would recommend! It comes in Small Breed and Medium/Large breed formulations, both are the same flavor.
