Birdfy Bamboo Smart Bird Feeder with Camera AI Lifetime Free Solar Powered Motion Detection, Black, 3.5L

My daughter ordered the Bamboo feeder from Chewy for my Christmas gift on November 29, 2024. It was placed in service around the end of January 2025 I got around to asking Netvue about the feeders’ condition April 13, 2025. I was given instructions on how to clean the mold off, what to buy to seal it, and how to repaint it. I was also instructed to send photos and purchase verification. I never heard back. I contacted them again on April 24 I was told they did not receive the requested information (it never returned to my email). I sent it again. After not hearing back from the 2nd contact, I turned in a new case still no reply. Later, I sent an email to Hi@birdfy again no reply. Yes, I am frustrated that I am expected to clean, seal and paint a feeder practically right out of the box. I am more frustrated with the customer service team that will not say Yes, we stand behind or product or NO we do not stand behind our product. I also feel badly for my daughter who gave me a gift to enjoy

My daughter and my husband assembled yhe feeder. My daughter gave up when she couldn't figure how to get the camera in. I am having troubles getting the app all set up for the camera so it appears to be a good product but I haven been able to fully have the complete functionality to give a 5‬ star rating or provide pictures.

This birdhouse is easy to put together and it comes with different attachments in case you want to mount it either on a round or squared post. It's sturdy and built very well. Once we mounted the birdhouse and the small solar panel onto the fence, my husband and I each downloaded the app on our phones. Instructions to connect were easy to follow. With a shared account, we're both able to see the camera on our phones, which we really like! The camera quality is not the greatest if you're trying to see a bird/animal from a distance, however the point of the birdhouse is to see the birds up close. The videos captured have been high quality and you can see them clearly. The app is easy to navigate and you're able to save the videos (with sound) to your phone. It does identify the bird/animal accurately about 98% of the time. The app is really neat because it has several features, such as turning on a light/sound, you can take a screenshot, record live, turn on a siren/mic. If you have the notifications on, they can get a bit overwhelming because of the amount of birds that show up, but what I like about them is that it notifies you what type of bird is at the birdhouse. Overall a great product and I highly recommend!!
