About BIXBI

The founder of BIXBI, James Crouch grew up on a mushroom farm, and it was there that he developed an appreciation for the powerful health benefits of farm-fresh foods. When he founded BIXBI decades later, he applied that knowledge to making organic mushroom supplements for dogs and cats. BIXBI’s product line has grown since those early days, but they’ve never lost sight of their mission: to provide pets with the absolute best in nutrition, with trusted ingredient sourcing and manufacturing in the USA.

Questions & Answers

2 Customer Questions

Is it safe to humans to handle this food? Does it undergo a high pressure process for human safety?

Answer by ChewyJan 05, 2024
This brand uses High-Pressure Processing (HPP) which makes this formula safe to handle. HPP kills pathogenic bacteria through high-pressure water-based technology. It is a USDA-approved process and ensures the products are safe for humans to handle and for pets to enjoy. The manufacturer also tests every batch for microbial contaminants before it leaves the facility.

Is this safe for cats?

Answer by ChewyAug 29, 2022
This recipe is formulated as a complete and balanced meal for dogs only.

The Yorkie breed can be picky with food they eat, they may eat it for a while and then won’t touch it. We give our Ella Hills Science Diet chicken and barley canned food and sprinkle the Rawbble on it and mix it in. She eats it right up, it amazes us how good she eats! She enjoys them for treats too.

Very high quality freeze-dried dog food.

My dogs really enjoy the taste of the freeze-dried foods. I like that it remains shelf safe and doesn't need refrigeration.

Be aware: rawbble is very high in fat, has bone in it, and (obviously by the name) completely uncooked - a combo that can be really dangerous for dogs digestive system. After giving these as treats during training, my poor dog had days of vomiting, diarrhea and bloody stool and ended up with pancreatitis. Not worth the risks: scary and expensive vet visit.

Love these for training treats

These are just the best for training treats. They are small and easy to see for a dog on the ground. The chicken is great beacuse it isnt' crumbly like the duck

My picky Pekingese will only eat freeze dried food and this is all we can find right now. I do not like how the price always fluctuates with each meat option. They’re really expensive regardless. And there must have been a bad batch because I’m reading a couple reviews with the same issue we had with a bag a few weeks ago. My dogs ate it and then had bloody runny poops and throwing up. I stopped this food to see if it’d help. They got better then I gave them a little more and sure enough they got sick again. I had to throw that bag in the trash.
