Wet Dog Food Process has been completely changed
I will start by saying I have been buying Blackwood Canned Chicken Dog food for over a year as well as their dry adult dog food. I am still buying the dry because the quality is very good. However, the wet dog food was amazing and is now total mush. My last batch was so surprising. I opened and immediately thought it was rancid. No longer was it a firm pate with visible peas and carrots. It had a fatty layer on top, it was smelly and it was puréed. I went so far as to even call the company. I found out that they changed their processor to a manufacturer in Ecuador. They now make the food in the US and then send it there to be processed and canned. They claim to still have the same high standards, but you can clearly see that when it comes to the canned food it is not the same. At almost 4.00 a can this is not satisfactory.
Disappointing
The last 2 times I received several severely dented in cans.
My dogs like it.
They eat it without hesitation - which is not always the case with the high end food.
This is mush...
This canned dog food is just nasty. It's ground way too finely that the poor dogs smoosh and compact the food while trying to eat it. Don't waste your money because I've tried feeding it to 4 different dogs and they ALL passed it by because they didn't like it at all. Now I have about a case of it and such a waste of money :-(
Great for my Senior
I bought this to help my senior husky with eating. I wet her dry food and mix in this wet food and she loves it. My 6 month old husky puppy goes crazy for it when I treat her with it as well.
Blackwood was devoured!
My small dog (15lbs) tends to leave some wet food in her bowl, but she devoured Blackwood's Chicken wet food! Her bowl looked like we had just washed it. The first 4 ingredients are natural and 6 of the top 7 ingredients are natural with meats and vegetables topping the list. I'm happy to have found a delicious, thoughtfully curated wet food that my dog loves.

I’m picky and have a sensitive stomach so my human switched to Blackwood dry and wet food. Best decision ever! The wet food is scrumpcious and it doesn’t upset my tummy.

My dogs both like the chx with Pumpkin flavor. One of my girls is a very picky eater and Blackwood has pleased her tastebuds this far. Subject to change....
Dogs like it, description needs to be corrected...
I bought this food for my dogs to try because the descriptions states that it is chunks in gravy and I was looking for something to serve over their regular food. So when I opened the can I was disappointed to see that this is a pate style food. It's a good food as far as ingredients go and my dogs seem to like it, it's just not what I was looking for.

This is very good looking and good smelling dog food, the dogs eat it mixed into their dry food(also Blackwood). 1 of the dogs is real finnicky about food and it takes her all day to pick at it but does eventually eat it.
