Nice balm

The balm is easy to apply and you don't need a lot. I am not sure about its efficiency yet as the ground is very hard and flies abound so hoofs still get chipped

Farrier had suggested we use a moisturizer for our horse’s dry hooves. Decided to try this product as it looked more natural. First problem is that is it hard to

Farrier had suggested we use a moisturizer for our horse’s dry hooves. Decided to try this product as it looked more natural. First problem is that is it hard to apply. I tried a small shoe-polish type sponge as well as a small brush and neither really got the product spread around the hoof. The next problem is the fact that once you apply the balm, dirt coats the hoof and sticks to the balm which simply dries it out even more. This product may work if you have a stalled horse but definitely not a pasture pony.
