In information page said that this food was made in the U.S.A. Are all the ingredients from the United States?

All Blue Buffalo products are manufactured in the United States. Many of their ingredients, such as most grains and meats, like chicken, beef and turkey come from the United States. Lamb and venison can be free range from the United States or New Zealand. Rabbit is sourced from Europe, and trout can come from the United States or Canada. Where possible Blue's suppliers are instructed to source their ingredients from the United States. Where the ingredients are not readily available in the Unites States, such as many vitamins and minerals, their suppliers will only work with reliable foreign companies, and subject all ingredients to rigorous quality testing. None of the ingredients are sourced from China.

I love all of the good ingredients you put into your dog food. However, can you explain how this particular dog food can claim it is “Grain-Free” when it has Alfalfa Nutrient and Barley Grass listed in your ingredience?

This food is considered grain free. Alfalfa is a perennial flowering plant in the legume family. Barley is an annual grass. Barley grass is the leaf of the barley plant, as opposed to the grain.

stinky dog

My dog did well on this food at first. He has a lot of skin allergies that I suspect are from chicken. Unfortunately, my 5 year old lab mix started to just stink! Like, we couldn’t even sit next to him. The food is stinky, but this stink was emanating from every poor in his body. He’s never smelled bad the entire time we’ve had him! Within a week of switching foods, he’s smelling good again, and he hasn’t even had a bath! So weird. I’m so bummed because the food he’s eating now is 2x the price!

Happy With Products

Its only been about 2 two weeks. Because of Chocolate severe allergies, its very hard for me to find the right food for him. I read numerous reviews with good rating those pet parents said this brand help their babies with allergies. So I am hoping the (Blue Buffalo Basics) helps my baby skin too. Turns out if it helps Chocolate like it as help others (Blue Buffalo Basics) will be the only food for my Chocolate. Thank You,

Second Order not the same Boston won’t hardly eat

My Boston loved the first bag, really seems to help with her allergies. She won’t hardly eat the second bag, it’s much lighter in color and doesn’t seem to be as fresh, also doesn’t smell fresh fish smell like the other bag.

Helps my Bluenose Pit

My dogs breed experience lots of allergies. My doggie flare up shows on her skin, leaving patches. After switching, her fur began to regrow. So happy with this product. Also bowel movement have been great!! Healthy & Happy :)

Great Single Animal Protein & Grain-Free

This Single Animal Protein & Grain-Free dry dog food is great for my dog. She has not scratched or itched since I switched to this dry food. Also her ears no longer have a bad smell or itch. Some people are complaining about vegetables being listed as one of the first three ingredients and there not being at least a couple of protein (meat sources) sources. HELLO PEOPLE! This is a single animal protein (salmon) recipe. There will be no other meat or meal protein. Also, I see some complaints about this recipe having potatoes. Potatoes is literally printed on the front of bag (Salmon & Potato Recipe) as well as it being in the title of the dry food description. This food might not be for every pooch but my soft coat wheaten terrier (Irish Dog) loves it. I'm sure her ancestors ate their fair share of potatoes in their day.

Dog won't eat 2nd bag ordered

I ordered the 11 pound bag for my dog to try. She loved it. I just recieved the 22 pound bag and she refuses to eat it. The food looks totally different and is a different color. She's a lab - she eats anything. Going to contact chewy for a refund. Why can't these places keep their food consistent. Back to the drawing board to find a limited ingredient diet for my girl.

2 dogs w skin issues/itching, chewing on feet. Tried many foods to resolve this problem and this grain free single source brand/ingredient is the best. I do not give my dogs any other food or treats as this will ruin what you are trying to fix.

Didn't wait till it was open

I just bought this bag for the first time after finding out one of my dogs is allergic to everything but salmon and apparently the other dogs were so excited to eat the food that they couldn't even wait till the bag was open to tear into it. Came home to a giant mess! But I love this food because he does not get sick on it.

It was a hit!

My 13 year old Shih Tzu had gotten a little picky so I changed to this and he loves it! Haven't used long enough to see if there is any difference in his skin, but we'll see!

She likes it

We just started switching her over and are already seeing positive results. She eats more consistently, her stools have more form and the number of times she has them has decreased. All good signs!
